Basic double bedroom in a cute little house in the Medina. Shared bathroom with shower and hot water on the same floor. Perfect for those looking for budget accommodation and basic facilities (including Wi-Fi!) in a great location less than 10min away by foot from the Jema El Fna Square. Sunny and quiet terrace perfect to relax. All utilities included, bed linen and towels provided.
The bedroom is small but has everything needed for a comfortable life. Two bedside tables, one with lamp, wardrobe for your clothes, big table and chair. Thick inside curtain on door and window to keep the room isolated from the cold in winter and the heat in summer so it stays comfortable without any major devices. There is one ventilator and one radiator available, though, in case it gets too warm or too cold.
The house is small but comfortable enough. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one fully equipped kitchen and a terrace which serves as a sunny lounge room. It also has a shaded area to cope with the heat of Marrakech.
With the room comes access to internet, fully equipped kitchen with fridge, washing machine, cooking utensils, silverware and spices, bathroom with shower and sunny terrace with space to hang your clothes to dry.
The room comes also with towels and bed linen, so you can use that space on your suitcase for something else.
Interaction with guests
I like to go and meet the person at the square to walk them to house so as to show the way there. Then I come by the house two or three times a week and like to interact and exchange about the guest's experience if we cross each other's path. I'm also available at all times through Airbnb message or phone. It is ideal for independent travelers who still like to be able to have the insight of a local.
Other things to note
There is one cat in the house, Candy, and permanent resident. I buy the food and usually guests are happy to feed her twice a day and change her water.
There is also Nezha, cleaning lady and general helper, that comes roughly twice a week to clean all the common areas of the house. She does not enter the rooms if they are occupied.
There is one key for the front door and I provide locks for the bedroom door, if you require one.
Be respectful to the neighbors (no loud noises after dark, no topless sunbathing and be discreet when enjoying your drink in the rooftop).
During your stay, the cleaning of your room is your responsibility. All the required products and tools are available at the house.
You are not allowed to bring your own guests without prior authorization.
Smoking is allowed in the rooftop only.
Make sure you turn off all light and devices (includes fan and heater) when you go out! I reserve myself the right to go to your room to turn them off, if they are left on. Electricity is expensive in Marrakech too and, honestly, would you do it in your own home?

Living in Marrakech for over 6 years, I have extensive knowledge on the city and culture to help you make the best of your stay in the city and the country.
I still like the contrasts and contradictions, the fact that there is some order in the chaos. Moroccan people's smiles and helpfulness.
As a host, I like to meet my guests in person and give them a bunch of tips on how to best enjoy the city according to what their preferences are. A lot find that staying in my house in the old medina adds another layer of interest to the experience.
