Tammy's apartment was great. Very spacious, comfy, in a lively area very close to Mont-Royal -- this worked really nicely for us. The garage space was a godsend in winter, and so was the spa-tub. Tammy was very responsive and flexible; one of her friend welcomed us on arrival, guiding us to the garage. A beautiful space, highly recommended.
Tammy's apt is really great. It's spacious (bigger than the impression i had from the photos), clean and very well located. It's close to the main streets in plateau (st. Laurent and st. Denis) and also close to the downtown and the famous quartiers (Latin, Spectacles...).
We had a great time during our stay in this apt. I highly recommend it.
Tammy was not available during our stay, but communication about this was great. Her friend Benji was available to give us the keys and explain the details, she was very flexible and great. The unit was as described, and clean. The location was great for walking to activities, or a short drive to places.
The only downside, and this may be related to the time of year we visited (week before Labor Day)- it is a second floor unit and VERY NOISY at night. It was too warm to sleep with the windows closed and with the college kids arriving this week, it was very noisy until about 2am each day we were there. If you're used to this, I'm sure it's not a problem. It probably is not as loud at other times, or when it is cooler and the windows can be closed.
Overall though, good experience, clean place in a good location and would recommend to deep sleepers :)
The apartment was exactly the same as listed on Airbnb and very spacious. The location was really central to The Plateau and restaurants.
Tammy's apartment is beautiful and spacious and the location is perfect for those looking to explore Montreal away from the regular tourist experience.
The apartment itself is huge - the pictures accurately portray the size, cleanliness, and vibe of the loft. It has huge windows that bring in a lot of natural light.
The proximity of the apartment to Mont Royal, three different Metro Stations, the downtown area, and a few Bixi Bike Share docks made exploring the city really easy and convenient. It felt off the beaten path (compared to staying in some chain hotel) and yet in the center of everything. The neighborhood has a lot of great mom and pop shops, restaurants, and art spaces.
I'd highly recommend this apartment for those looking to experience the city.
I am a graduate student at McGill and have a 6 month older daughter. We are looking for an apartment to rent while I am arranging my fall semester accomodations.
