We offer an antique stile furnished one-room flat with extraordinary view of Danube and Chain Bridge, with renovated bathroom and retro stile kitchen. Home way from home.
The apartement was elected in the 10 best places to stay with Airbnb on The Culturetrip website, thanks for all our guests!
Péter and Kati's aim is that guests arrive as distant acquaintances and leave as good friends. To those who are interested, they can tell more about the building, the country and their own life, accompanied by a glass of quality red wine from the famous Szekszárd wine region or a shot of pálinka.
From the 30 sq m bedroom / living room guests can enjoy an exceptional view of the Chain Bridge, the Gresham Palace, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the impressive Parliament Building. The apartment is both authentic – its kitchen being equipped with early 20th century tools, traditional Hungarian spices and a marble-topped dining table – and modern, with its bathroom’s beautiful 21st century minimalist design being of the highest standards.
Guests may find many restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, wine shops and supermarkets nearby, and also pharmacies, currency changers, ATMs and different means of transport are also available in the area. Parking is free of charge in front of the building. The most important sights in the city are also within the walking distance of 5-15 minutes. From Clark Adam square just around the corner, there are a number of buses, trams – and the unique Buda Castle Funicular as well – that take you to the most well-known places of Budapest, like the Castle, the Heroes’ Square, the Basilica or the Mall in the city centre.
About the building:
The history of the house is tightly intertwined with that of Hungary: it was built in the second half of the 19th century, in the close vicinity of one of the most beautiful bridges right in the heart of Budapest and functioned as the permanent residence of the Counts Andrássy until the 20th century. The apartment survived World War II and the communist dictatorship, finally becoming the property of a noble Hungarian family of artists. The owner’s father was a passionate collector of art, many of the apartment’s furniture and paintings are pieces of his collection.
The owner, Péter Zsuffa (45) has played an active part in forming the Hungarian underground culture since the 1980s and ‘90s. Thus the apartment emits an eclectic vibe: it is both classic and modern, bohemian and reliable at the same time. Péter is an artist who has been making fire enamel paintings for 25 years, and his works of art have a quality guarantee of 500 years. His wife Kati is the host of the flat, who's the mom of their 3 children, graduated as an architect. They live just around the corner, therefore they are quick to be at your service in three different languages (English, Italian and German).
It is an entire flat, guest just have to feel like home.
It is calm and safe district on the Buda side of the city, that's why we live also nearby.
Main public transport stops are just around the corner.

We loved our stay at Kati and Peter's apartment. The view is unbeatable and the apartment was beautiful! They had lots of information for travelers and answered all of our questions. They also accommodated our late arrival and helped us get around the city. Could not ask for a better experience!
Kati and Peter Are warm and friendly hosts. The apartment is like being in a movie set, looking over the river to Pest, especially at night.
The location is good being at the foot of the castle district, where you can walk to or catch #16 bus, or walk across the bridge to Pest.
Their pick up service from the train station or airport is worth it.
Kati was a most welcoming & informative hostess who made us feel totally at home. The photos do justice to the apartment, from her two main windows you can see Pest on the opposite side of the river in its full glory, including the magnificent Parliament building & the Adam Clarke bridge. The location was absolutely perfect, quieter side of river backing onto Castle hill and the Palace. (5 minutes walk to Palace), Tram is right in front of building & buses 5 mins away.
Excellent location in Budapest. Kati was very helpful for us. I will definitly recommande this location.
A so nice place for our stay in Budapest. Perfectly what we wanted and the flat looks exactly like the photos posted on the site. We loved it.
Every morning and night a wonderful view front of Danube and near all the touristic places.
We recommand it warmly.
And Peter is a good "taxi driver" from the airport to the flat, with very intersting explanations about his town.

Квартира и вид на Будапешт из окон произвели на нас неизгладимое впечатление.
Квартира очень красивая и интересная ,фотография не может передать очарования ее деталями
Мы были очень рады встрече с Катей и будем вспоминать ее с радостью.
We had a wonderful time at Kati and Peter's apartment. They were very kind and helpful, and they made our stay as pleasant and easy as possible, picking us to the airport, giving us some good advises, etc. They are really nice people and great hosts, their flat is delightful and they have effectively one of the best views of the city…Thanks again guys, and you're welcome in Paris anytime you want. Bye
