Endy's place remained plagued by the same heating issue (broken boiler) that a previous guest mentioned. He gave us very late notice that it was a problem and offered us a week's stay in an apartment managed by his sister Alexandra in a nearby neighborhood. Fortunately, we were pleased with the roomy and clean apartment which had convenient bus and subway connections. It was also in easy walking distance of Prospect Park. This review is unusual insofar as we can't comment on Endy's place, but are happy to recommend Alexandra's. It's only drawback is that local restaurants and cafes are scarce although we did find an excellent brick oven pizzeria and an Indian restaurant in the vicinity.
Staying at Endy's place was absolutely perfect for me! It is very easy to be in touch with Endy and I communicated with his sister a lot, as well. They are both fantastic hosts. The place was very clean and tidy, and little details like having plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and bath towels make it an especially convenient stay. The rooms smell clean because they ARE. The water is hot and the bedrooms get lots of natural sunlight. The place was safe and I always felt comfortable leaving for and returning from work. I would definitely recommend staying at Endy's and plan to reserve a space again in the future!
Really cosy and ideal for a week's stay in Brooklyn, NYC! Endy was very responsible and ensured that my friend and I have a place to live in during our stay in NYC - his original place had some problems with the pipes and he alerted us a few days in advance that we are going to stay at his sister's place instead, which was just as ideal!
When we arrived at 1am in the morning, he and his sister ensured that someone was at the apartment to show us around the house!
My overall experience was lovely, however, I couldn't get used to wearing shoes around the house, which apparently, was the norm there.
Dit verblijf geeft geen privacy.
Het is een kamer zonder raam. Deur naar living mag open maar deze ruimte wordt door de verhuurder gebruikt.
E. was a great host. I really enjoyed my time in the apartment. It is clean and tidy. The area is very nice and not so stressful. Laudraumat next corner - very helpful! Would definitely stay there again!
We arrived in NYC Thursday night and took a cab to Crown Heights. The neighbourhood seemed a little scary at first, as it was eerie and foggy. Arriving at Enndy's place made us feel much more at ease. We loved having the apartment to ourselves and the size was more than enough for my partner and me. The place was very clean, comfortable and as we explored more, we found the neighbourhood to be quite nice and hip. We regret that we didn't explore the neighbourhood enough, actually!
My only concern is that the bedroom did not have windows, but in the morning the rest of the apartment is very bright and quite beautiful.
Staying with Enndy is great. He is very professional and accommodating. We would like to stay with him again on another trip!
Enndy's place was exactly as described. Enndy is a gracious host who made sure I had everything I needed. The room was comfortable and big, with lots of closet space, drawers, a sofa and a tv. It is located in a great neighborhood with restaurants and groceries just steps away. Subways are just a few minutes walk along with the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and Prospect Park. I visit this area once a month and would definitely stay with Enndy again.
Enndy was very welcoming and accomodating with me and my friend and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was as shown, comfortable bed and lots of storage space. People with poor sleep may want to bring earplugs as the room is not totally soundproof. The central location of the apartment was ideal for us, we could either explore Brooklyn or ride a train that would take us to Manhattan in 20-25 minutes. The neighborhood was pretty safe (even at night) despite the first impression. I would stay there again!
My stay with Enndy was just fabulous. The location could not have been more convenient, just two blocks from the Franklin Ave. subway station and down the block from a great coffee place. Enndy is a kind and generous host, giving you plenty of space while taking great care of you. I would definitely stay again!
