Guest access
Guests access the apartment through the main entrance of the house at the top of the stairs. The entryway has ample space to leave your shoes (I prefer that we don't wear shoes inside)

Other things to note
I will usually greet guests and show you in but occasionally I can't be here.....in that case self check in is easy since we have a lockbox next to the entrance.

Neighborhood highlights

We are in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood of Brooklyn just a few blocks from where Spike Lee filmed parts of his film "Do the Right Thing". Our block is part of a 4 block stretch between a school and Herbert Von King Park so it tends to be quieter than most. We have an active block association and we care about our neighbors. We have several delicious and popular eating establishments within walking distance including Peaches, southern food &brunch, Sarafina's Italian fare and Chez Oscar French cuisine. Hipster Bushwick is just across Broadway and is home to small music venues (including Ornithology Jazz Club) and lots of good food and night life spots. Domino Park by the Williamsburg Bridge and East River offers stunning views of Manhattan and a fun place to visit for kids and adults alike. There's plenty of shopping and range of eateries there too. If you're headed to Manhattan, walk or take the B15 bus down Lewis Avenue and get on the elevated train at Myrtle Avenue. The M/J/Z lines take you over the Williamsburg Bridge then under the river to NYC. The G train is about a 15 minute walk West from our place or you can catch the B38 bus at DeKalb and get off at Nostrand . We have a friendly and fully stocked Ideal Grocery store with lots of organic selections less than a block away on Marcus Garvey and a laundromat across the street from that. Additionally, there are several parks and playgrounds within a 4 block area. More details are in the blue book in the livingroom area.
