You won’t want to leave this charming, peaceful place with the beauty of nature all around you. This 3 bedroom cottage sits in front of the Harbour which provides protection from the open sea. It is a quiet relaxing place to unwind. Enjoy sitting on the deck with your morning coffee or by the fire pit in the evenings. The Port Bickerton Lighthouse is 2 km away and offers trails to a beautiful sandy beach. Historic Sherbrooke Village (a must to visit) is 26 km from Port Bickerton.

The space
You will have a “cottage style” bedroom and there is a full bathroom with a bathtub upstairs as well as a full bathroom with a shower on the main floor. Also there is a hide-abed on the main floor in case an extra bed is required. You can enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, sitting room and living rooms, one which invites you to sit and enjoy the Harbour view. You won’t want to miss exploring the trails and beach at the Lighthouse Park a couple of km from the cottage.

Where you’ll be

Fishermans Harbour, Nova Scotia, Canada

Port Bickerton / Fisherman's Harbour is nestled in the eastern shoreline of Nova Scotia. The nearby wharf (viewed from the cottage) is home to the Canadian Coast Guard and privately owned boats. Whitney's General Store and Restaurant is nearby and you won't want to miss seeing the Port Bickerton Lighthouse (approximately 2.5 km from the cottage and now managed by local volunteers). Even though you might notice a "closed sign" when entering the village, the area is actually open to explore. From the Lighthouse, you will find trails lead to stunning views and a lovely long sandy beach (included in photos). The cottage is situated close to the harbour and the walk (or drive) to the Lighthouse follows the shore. The sights and sounds of nature are all around the cottage and surrounding area. Historic Sherbrooke Village is 26 km away and offers many amenities, including a Farmers Market on Saturdays, as well as reenactments of the 1800's for special occasions including Christmas (see their website for updates). You might also be interested in visiting Tor Bay or other picturesque communities in Eastern Nova Scotia. Approximately an hour from the area, you will find Antigonish, home to St FX University and a variety of shops. Further along from Antigonish is the Cabot Trail of Cape Breton and the city of Halifax is a 3 hour drive from Port Bickerton.
