The apartment has been entirely renovated. It's on the second floor of an old Parisian two story building. With windows on both sides, the apartment is both bright and breezy and faces a beautiful courtyard.

  • We give this apartment 5 stars and a glowing recommendation. My husband and I knew the experience we wanted to have while in Paris and staying here played a big part in fulfilling that desire. I did A LOT of research on accommodations - it was my 3rd time visiting Paris and I knew what I wanted - and I feel like we hit the jackpot considering what we paid. The apartment is like that straight out of a magazine - the pictures are very accurate but it was even better in person. Drinking coffee and eating breakfast every morning in that kitchen was like a dream - so much green! The entrance from the street, the small courtyard, and stairwell were immaculate. The neighbors were all friendly and would say hello. All communication with Julia before and during our stay was prompt and helpful. The neighborhood is charming and safe and the proximity to the canal and Metro stations was a bonus. We literally walked all over Paris from this apartment and would take the Metro home at night. A cab to/from Charles de Gaulle Airport was around 50-55 euros each way including tip. We have great memories from this trip! Thank you thank you!

  • Julia and Mat's apartment was a great place to stay in Paris! They were very easy to work with, and they left a very useful guide to the neighborhood. The apartment itself is clean and very beautifully decorated. We especially enjoyed the dining room, which looks out onto the green courtyard of their building. It is, moreover, in a wonderful neighborhood. There are lots of fun things to do near Canal St. Martin, and it is conveniently located near a number of metro stops. I would totally stay with Julia and Mat again!

  • Great apartment, great location.

  • Julia and Mat's apartment is cozy, well-appointed and perfect for a travelling couple. They are located in the 10th arrondisement, close to several metro stations, and a Velib station right across the street. We have a few new favorites in their neighborhood to eat/drink (Bob's Juice Bar, Du Pain et Des Idees, La Cambodge, Chez Prune). As hosts, Julia and Mat are friendly and accommodating when they met us to let us in to their apartment. It was nice to come back to somewhere that felt like home after a long day of walking around and sightseeing.

  • Julia's & Mat's apartment is great! It's very cosy, comfortable and nicely decorated. It's located in 10th eme, an up and coming trendy neighbourhood. It's also within walking distance to Gare du Nord, Chateau Landon & Colonel Fabien metro stations.

I managed to meet both Julia & Mat, they are friendly and a pleasant to talk to.

I would definitely stay there again.

  • This is a really cool and interesting flat - everything was very clean and all the facilities worked perfectly. It's a really nice area, quiet but close enough to the city and beside a lovely neighbourhood by the canal.

I definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Paris.

  • We were welcomed by Julia and Mat on our late arrival. After a quick tour, we were left to enjoy a wonderfully peaceful apartment for a long weekend. What a treat. This is the best way to experience a city, having a comfortable base in a residential area. We would like to return some day.

    thanks again!

My name is Julia and I'm a journalist for an international TV news channel here in France. I'm specialised in international relations but on a personal level I also love art, fashion, photography, movies, cooking and interior design. I also love to travel. Out of all the countries I've visited I absolutely fell in love with Cambodia. I was born in France but I lived in the US for 15 years in Miami, New York and Washington DC. I used to work as a journalist at WCBS TV channel 2 local news in New York. Mathieu, my husband, works in investment banking at BNP PARIBAS, a french bank here in Paris. He loves to play sports, to draw and to travel as well! We love to have people over to cook for them. We really think you will love our place so don't hesitate to contact us because we are GREAT HOSTS!!! Cheers, JULIA & MATHIEU
