The Sleeping Giant Lodge, is situated on the Cribarth mountain, often referred to as the sleeping giant, based in the heart of the Brecon Beacon National Park.
The Sleeping Giant Lodge has a lovely log burner stove to keep you warm and toasty on winter nights. Also home cinema projector added for 2025!

The space
During your stay the area is so quiet you can hear the owls hooting after dark, there are amazing sunsets and a beautiful place for stargazing! Situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park, with many picturesque walks in waterfall country and a short walk is possible to the local pub. The water fall walks are a local attraction and have featured in numerous movies, including batman.

That blissful peace and quiet is the reason most guests cite for choosing a stay here. Located on a small holding, guests will find spectacular views, friendly animals and walks that start right from the door!

You can cook on the outside bbq area or we also have a pizza takeaway open in the evenings also serving fresh coffee and snacks! While your here you can also meet all the animals, we have sheep, alpacas, donkeys, pigs, goats and chickens! They all love to welcome our guests and the alpacas love to give kisses!

Craig y Nos Castle and Country Park are within walking distance and allow guests a scenic stroll around the grounds and Castle of the world’s most famous opera singer Adelina Patti. Maybe take sneak peek at the pavilion where she performed many fantastic shows, a beatiful place where you can enjoy a picnic on the grounds.

Take advantage of the outdoor cooking area, enjoy your evenings outdoors watching the sunset or stargazing from the hot tub.

There are some stunning mountain views to be had here, and sitting down to admire them for a while is a most rewarding option. That said, there’s plenty of activity nearby should you wish: We offer Alpaca walks with a fantastic view on the mountain behind the farm, also this is waterfall walk country, and a riding centre just down the road that can sort pony treks for all the family. It’s also a short drive to get to places like Craig y Nos Castle and the National Showcaves Centre for Wales or a slightly longer one (about 45 minutes) to Pen y Fan, the National Botanic Garden of Wales and the beaches of the Gower Peninsula.
