We had a nice stay at Yankee Nest at the end of May. Before we arrived, Chris messaged us with the lock codes and explained the keys, doors, and locks. The apartment is a 3-bedroom 2-bath apartment, with two bedrooms on the second floor and one in the basement. The second floor bedrooms were hot. We turned on the ceiling fan and opened the window, but it was still pretty warm. We did not find an AC. The apartment is located near the B, D, and 4 trains, but the B and D don’t stop late in the evenings. Overall, this is a good place for a large group as there is plenty of space and it is conveniently located near a metro stop, just be aware and prepared for no AC!
The house was a great size for our group of 7-8 girls. The open concept first floor was great for hanging out! Neighborhood was fine - Yankees played every day we were there, so it was a great atmosphere. The ride to the city is a bit longer than anticipated, but transportation was still very easy. Chris was very nice, as well!
Chris's house is really amazing. It looks exactly like the pics he posted. He emailed me all the details about the house before we came to his house. And answered my questions and concerns in time. The house is clean and beautiful. My family and I had a really good time there.
Chris, the Nest was clean and perfect. The surrounding area was very safe, friendly and fun. The Yankee Tavern had great food and service. We will be recommending for sure.
The house is very comfortable, everything as described. Comfortable for 6 people. Close to metro stations, restaurants and shops. Getting to downtown Manhattan by subway takes 15-20 minutes. Chris is a very nice host. I would recommend as an ideal locale for your stay in New York.
It was our first visit to new York which is a great city, staying at Chris and Alicia place made our stay a pleasant one (Yankee nest)during our 10 days of our visit to NYC theYannkee nest became a home away from home.
The house was very comfortable and exactly as described. It was neat and clean. It is very conveniently placed to the metro stop and there is a grocery store right across the street. We stayed there for a week and found all of the directions placed throughout the house to be very helpful. I would recommend this house to anyone.
