  • Very good stay! The apartment is very close to San Pietro and 15 minutes walking from Piazza Navona and all the center. The Trastevere it's very close too. The apartment was perfect and Massimiliano and Pamela's father very friendly. I recomend it!

  • We loved our visit to Rome. The apartment was really close to St. Peter's Basilica, and you could see the dome from her windows. Would have liked more contact with our host. Only saw her for about ten minutes the day we checked in. Her brother was very helpful because we got there at 10:30 am and she didn't get there til noon. He unlocked the door for us and helped us to get settled. The shower was great, the air conditioning in the bedroom was very appreciated, the bed was fairly good, and the location was very good. The only negative things was lack of time with the host, nothing provided for us for breakfast, and only enough toilet paper for one day. We had to find a store and get more toilet paper. It was a good experience, but not the WOW experience we had in other areas.

    Response from Pamela:

The formula we use is that of holiday home and not b&b. We rent the whole apartment with use of kitchen. We meet our clients only at check in 'cause we wish to let them free. Unlike a hotel we agree on the reception hours and delivery of the keys before arrival. Kind regards

  • If I were to go to Rome again, I'd book it again. Nice, roomy and airy, just a few hundred meters from the Vatican and the 64 bus (which does takes you to most tourist attractions) at your doorstep. So great place!
Two small "buts" to have in mind though: the elevator is very small (we were four and had to take turns to go up); and if you want to cook at the place, the burners are very slow, so even boiling water for pasta can take a looong time.
But, as said: if I were to go again, I'd definitely book this place again . Totally recommended!

  • We had a wonderful time in "Zenzero & Canella". The apartment was spacious, clean and big enough for the four of us (2 couples). The location is great; close to the Vatican and other main tourist attractions. Bus #64 leaves close an will take you over the river towards Colosseum.
The building has a tiny lift which is handy as the apartment is on the 5th floor.
I red some remarks about the shower, but it was perfect and hot.(probably has been fixed).

The interior of the apartment overall is fine and good. Maybe a little bit to much from our Swedish friend at Ikea : ).
An extra couch in the living room would have been nice so everyone had a place to crash after a long day of walking around.

There is a bakery across the street which gives you a very local and homely feeling. Way better than staying in an Hotel!
Overall a very nice stay and perfect accommodation while exploring Rome.

Thank you so much Jorg!!! I'm very happy :)

  • Pamela's apartment is light and spacious it has a nice lounge and good size kitchen. The location is handy to The Vatican and it's easy enough to get on a bus to/from Termini station and there is a Metro Station nearby, while this is very handy, it does come with it's share of noise pollution. The is a lift which is great as the apartment is on the 5th floor.
The Main bedroom had a very squeeky bed so we chose to sleep in the 2nd bedroom which was very comfortable. While the bathroom is a good size and very light unfortunately the shower is an issue, the water temperature is very inconsistant, going from ice cold to scolding hot in a matter of seconds without having touched the mixer can make for a pretty unpleasant experience.

Pamela was a lovely host, meeting us upon arrival and provided local information for us. She even booked our cab to the airport for our departure.

I do recommend this apartment for your stay in Rome but it does have it's imperfections.

I was born in Rome, grow up with a passion for theater, I graduated as an actress and I also dedicate to directing and dramaturgy. Study singing and I'm part of several musical groups. In 1978, shortly after they were married, my parents bought this apartment that my father used as painting studio for many years. After more than thirty years, I decided to renovate it and turn it into a beautiful vacation home. For those who come to Rome only for work, who have never been there and don't know what they are missing, for those who stay only a few nights and must run away, for those who know her well and cannot abandon her, for people leike me who love and hate her, but can't live without her: WELCOME! Our home is your home, take care of it as it will take care of you.
