Situated in the most beatiful part of Norway, Lofoten with amazing nature at the end of an 800 m long white sandy beach.
The house "Jusnes" was the home of my grand grand parents. We want to keep the house as authentic as poosible, and it is filled with memories from lived life during 100 years. Ground floor: Livingroom, kitchen with fireplace/owen, bathroom with shower, washing machine, 1 bedroom with large singel bed, two door entrance, loft: 4 bedrooms, 2 with doubbel bed, 1 with 2 singel beds, 1 with bunk bed for children. One bed at "loft hall"
Midnight sun, great nature for hiking, rent a boat at (website hidden) at the other side of the beach. Very good local food at the restaurant. 6 km to the famous fishing village Nusfjord (website hidden). 30 km from airport Leknes, 30 km from ferry arrival at Moskenes, 30 km from boat arrival "Hurtigruta" at Stamsund.
Old family house on prime location with superb view (even by Lofoten standards). Village of Ramberg with good restaurant and supermarket within 5 min by car. Close to E 10, yet in quiet surroundings. Interesting hiking trails on the same island. All comments in the logbook are ecstatic.
lovely place with wonderful atmosphere. we enjoyed your stay very much.
This is a great, cozy, quiet house in a great location. The view is terrific, and much of the Lofotens is an easy drive away. The E10 between Ramberg and Moskenes is under repair, however. Anyone who stays here in the next few months should be sure to check the ferry schedules and road closing times.
I think this is the cosiest house in the Lofoten area I've been. It is a small old lovely house, full of history, full of light, so if it might be cloudy outside, you do not have the feeling of sitting in the dark. It is a very old family home so there are lot of things inside, and it has a real kitchen, fully equipped, my kids loved to bake bread and cake...
The close surrounding is as described, the beach is beautiful and from the cliffs on the north side you can see the midnight sun. Cash machine, market, pub and restaurant in walking distance. We hired a car, because the nordland bus (there is an app for android and iOS) doesn't run very good at the weekend or on school holidays, and the car brings you to the nice little treasure places in the area. I will be back one day.
Trude Rebekka was a great host, and the beach cottage was filled with such warm character. The location is truly great, not only in convenience of travel to other towns and villages, but in close proximity to the Ramberg point, the white sand beach, the best hike to a secret surf spot, plus many more. It was the perfect recipe for decompressing and finding nature again, one that I'd visit over and over again whenever possible. I highly recommend it to anyone.
From outside the house was very cute, ancient and spacious. Inside the house wasn't very clean and had a dusty smell and it was a very cold house. We think the house was far too overpriced for what we got. A hotel was cheaper, claener and had more comfort.
This place is awesome. Situated super close to the beach, in an amazing part of the world. Great base for exploring the Lofoten islands. If weather goes bad, you can still enjoy yourself by sitting in the lounge, watching the water and distant rocky mountains.
The house is basic, but has all you need. For more than one couple I would say it would be a touch cozy. But for a family with kids (lots of kids even!) it is ideal.
Can't wait to get back there one day...
La maison est vraiment chaleureuse et cosy , la situation idéale .
Une vue magnifique sur la plage de Ramberg
En bref un merveilleux séjour , les randos sont techniques mais vraiment superbes
Our stay in this beach house was just as peaceful and nice as we had expected. The location is really beautiful, just on the beach, away from the main road traffic and other buildings. We really liked the fact that the interior is authentic vintage, really beautiful. Everything has patina and if you like it like we do this is a great place. It's a bit like travelling in time to live in the house, but at the same time all new convenient things are there (new stove, heating, etc).
Trude was really nice and answered quickly when we had some questions on arrival.
The beach is amazing with it's white sand and the house is surrounded by flowery meadows. We had a really relaxing time there (despite that the we picked the worst days weather wise) and we could definitely recommend it to people visiting Lofoten.
Don't miss the fabulous little café Friisgarden Bokkafe if you go to Ramsberg.
This house was such a charming, old one. We really enjoyed our stay there. At the most we were nine people altoghter. That was a little bit crowded, but still it worked fine. The house is situated at a perfect spot very close to the nice beach in Ramberg. (although the water was freezing cold. Two of us swam, but had to use wet suits) Ramberg is such a good place to stay as you can drive in both directions and see the whole of Lofoten if you want to.
Trude was a nice and helpful host. She responded quickly to any questions we had and gave us all the information we needed. She was not controlling or interfeering and she really had a lot of trust in us. That´s appreciated. We appreciated that towels and linen were included.
Be aware that 3-4 of the beds are about eight inches shorter than normal beds.
We are happy with our stay and recommend the place to anyone going to Lofoten!
