Our cosy and comfortable apartment is located in the nicest area of Nørrebro, next to the two major parks and Jægersbrogade (the best place to eat and shop). A 5 minute busride away from the centre, and with private balcony and a nice garden.

The Space

A big open kitchen and living room - well equipped with bathroom, toilet, sofa, cable tv, internet, stereo, a new dishwasher and a washing machine is available in the basement. There is one bedroom with a queen-size bed. In the living room we have a wonderful sleeping couch and the possibility to use a big comfy air-bed if you are more than two. The apartment is 62 m2 with a balcony 6m2 and a private garden and parking place.

From the living room you can acces the balcony overlooking Assistens Kirkegård, a great place to hang out and find some of the famous Danes buried (Søren Kirkegaard, Hans Christian Andersen, etc.) Or you can go down two stairs and enjoy our beautiful garden. If you come by car you will have a parking space to your disposal.

The apartment is located in Norrebro, in walking distance from lively streets like elmegade, jægersborggade and last but not least the famous lakes. Within a 10 minute bikeride or a five minute busride you are in the center of the city or Vesterbro - and your first Copenhagen coffee is on us at our favourite local cafe Bodega (a minute walk through the park Assistens Kirkegård). You can easily (within 30 minutes) get to all the tourist attractions like The Little Mermaid, The Tivoli Gardens, the Canal Tours, Nyhavn (New Haven), Christiania (the free town), The Opera House, The Royal Theatre, Christiansborg, Amalienborg, restaurant NOMA (the world's best restaurant), Grundtvigskirken and more. The beach Amager Strandpark can be reached with metro, bike or car.

We love our apartment and are looking for responsible guests who can take care of our place aka. no parties or smoking :-)

Looking forward to have you over!

Guest Access

Our home is your home.

Interaction with Guests

We can help with any questions and preparation, as well as shop for any groceries you might want to have ready at arrival (costs will be incurred to the guest).

The Neighborhood

The best parks of Nørrebro, five minutes from the lakes, one minute from the hippest shopping street, and load of opportunities to go out and eat within a ten minute walk. We have a balcony to kick it back after exploring the city and a cheap bike rental at a minutes walk from our house.

Getting around

We'd recommend you to rent bikes as the city is small and it is the Copenhagen way of getting around but there is a busstop one minute away that connects you with Vesterbro, or the center.

  • Our host Nicky was very communicative and helpful throughout the process. We were extremely pleased with the apartment - its cleanliness/ location and all around comfort. - including the appliances and bed. It was in a cool part of Copenhagen but very accessible to all the main sites and easy to get to and from the airport via public transport. An added bonus was the balcony overlooking the park. Having this apartment as a base allowed us to explore Copenhagen and feel part of a neighborhood. Norrebro is a relaxed diversified but very safe community with many varied eating options close by. A wonderful find !

  • We stayed 4 nights at Nicky and Maria's apartment. We had a great time! The apartment is really nice and clean and not far from the center.

The communication was really easy and they gave us some tips : where to eat, where to rent bikes, places to visit, ...

Thank you again for your kindness!

  • The apartment is so nice and tastefully decorated that already 30 min into the stay one tends to forget that it's somebody's else apartment. That's how cozy & comfortable it feels.

A spacious living room connected to open kitchen and a small terrace overlooking the street always full of biking locals makes for perfect settings for a lazy brunch and a romantic dinner alike. Plus, being a fine fellow Nicky also has all the utensils and cooking supplies one needs to make gourmet magic happen.

Situated 2 min walk from Nørrebros Runddel, where buses 5A and 350S stop, the apartment is well connected to the city centre and the airport. For more fit types, you can also chose to walk to and from the city, since the street leading to Nørreport is quiet picturesque.

Nicky & his girlfriend were very kind and accommodating people and interacting with them is effortless - you will always get an answer to your question and they respond to sms'es & emails very fast.

I've been coming to Copenhagen for a while now, mostly staying through AirBnB, and even with this rich history I can say that Nicky's apartment was the best AirBnB experience I had in this lovely city. Much, much recommended

  • We really enjoyed our stay. Nicky's apartment is great, with a view from the balcony of Assistens Kierkegard right across the street. The kitchen and bathroom are both very nice. We were two friends - one sleeping in the bedroom, the second on a very comfortable couch. Cozy is the right description. A great place to start the day with coffee and end it with wine.

Nicky was a great source of information, though we never met in person. A friend of his handled the key exchange. On his recommendation, we rented bicycles from King just around the corner, which was the best way to get around. This is a very convenient location for exploring the city by bike.

A good neighborhood place for dinner: Taxa. Pricier but very good and also nearby is Manfred.

The fall weather was lovely, so we spent a lot of time outside: The Botanical Garden, Christiana, and the Stroget all great places to just wander around in, plus a boat tour on one of the Netto Boats from Nyhavn.

We would also highly recommend a trip to Louisiana especially if the sun is out. The setting on the Oresund is beautiful. The monumental sculpture by Moore, Arp, Dubuffet and others looks like it was made for the site.

Nicky's apartment is the kind of place I would like to live. I would certainly recommend it.

  • We had a wonderful stay in Nicky and Maria's apartment. A very comfortable and clean apartment in an excellent location with accessible and friendly hosts. What more could you ask for! Everything you need is in the immediate area while the center and tourist attractions are a short bike ride away.

  • My wife and I had a fine five-day stay in Copenhagen, and we found Nicky's apartment convenient, bright, tidy, and comfortable. Nicky was very responsive in emails beforehand, and Maria met us with keys, advice, and clear instructions. The neighborhood is interesting, and the apartment is conveniently located to several good bus lines. The balcony has great morning sunshine, looks across the street at the Assistens Cemetery, and down onto a stream of bikes and vehicles along Jagtvei. The kitchen is well equipped; we cooked several nights; and did laundry in the building. Thanks to Nicky and Maria for a great stay in your city!

  • My husband and I had a lovely getaway to Copenhagen and stayed at Nicky's place. It was very comfortable and clean and so convenient. There was so much to dicover in Norrebro that we only ventured into town briefly to visit the museums and major attractions. There were enough fabulous restaurants, bars and cute shops and great coffee and bakeries all around the corner. Nicky and Maria were kind enough to leave plenty of advice, guide books and recommendations which really helped plan our stay. Thanks guys! The only downer of the weekend was that we had my hired bike stolen within 4 hours of renting it! but that was near the city (not Norrebro). Even though we were sitting 5 metres away in a beer garden it was swiped.. so lesson learnt - lock bikes everywhere you go. We loved Copenhagen and we will be back asap.

    Response from Nicky:

Thanks Gaya! For everyone's info, in case we are out of town we often leave the keys at our favourite cafe around the corner where you can enjoy some of Copenhagen's best coffee (on us) and get your Copenhagen trip started.

  • We had a wonderful time at Nicky and Maria's. The flat is really cozy, conveniently located and extremely clean. Nicky and Maria were perfect hosts: welcoming, available and very nice to deal with. A few blocks away from the apartment we rented bikes at King Cycle from a very nice gentlemen who went above and beyond to please us. Our favorite spot in the apartment was the terrace, a perfect little place to enjoy a glass of wine after a long exploring day. Even the neighbors in the building were nice and helpful when we asked for directions and building rules. We absolutely loved our stay and would strongly recommend this apartment and host.
