Interaction with Guests
I always encourage guests to express their wishes in advance so that the flat can be set up accordingly.
Don't expect to receive a call from me just to check if everything is ok. I don't do that. This is your vacation time and I would consider that as an intrusion!! After checking-in, myself or my father can be reached via email or mobile for any queries.
Trevignano is a fascinating village that offers a wealth of things to experience, and whether you are into relaxing on the clear waters of Lake Bracciano, practicing sailing/windsurf/canoeing, visiting the fabulous castle of Bracciano or simply tasting the local food and wines in the large variety of restaurants, you will find this flat makes the ideal base.
While I would advise a rental car to reach Trevignano from both Ciampino (airport), Fiumicino (airport), Termini (main train station) and Civitavecchia (harbor), you do not need a car to move around in Trevignano. Everything is at a stone's throw. There is a shuttle bus stop a few meters away which could take you to Rome (1hour), Anguillara (10 mins) and Bracciano (10 mins).
If you plan to visit the marvelous Roman countryside, car is strictly necessary.
The historical centre of the Eternal City (i.e. Rome) can be easily reached by driving 40 km (= 25 Miles). The medieval city of Viterbo is also very close (25km = 15 miles).
Other Things to Note
Pick-up at Fiumicino airport, Ciampino airport and Termini train station can be offered at very competitive fares.
Smoking is not allowed inside the flat. However, if you really can not live without it, you can enjoy your cigarette or cigar from one of the windows overlooking the Borgo Antico.
If you would like to bring your lovely pets along with you, please coordinate with me in advance.
What a wonderful relaxing town! We had an incredible time and Alessandro's place was amazing! Thank you!
We were welcome by the hosts father who spoke perfect English and was most helpful. The location was so central and situated in a pedestrian mews so extremely quiet even though so central with restaurants all around. The apartment was extremely well equipped and there was nothing lacking at all. Parking all around at 1.00 Euro per hour however at weekends finding a space can be a challenge as this is a very popular tourist destination on the side of the lake.
We had a wonderful weekend at Alessandro's flat in Trevignano. There were 3 of us traveling, and we stayed 4 nights. Alessandro and his father were so helpful before our visit, and at arrival/departure. They were accommodating and provided instant answers and responses. I really appreciated it!
The 2 bedroom/2 bath flat had everything we needed. It was spacious for 3 people, and could probably accommodate several more. We used the fridge, stove, dishwasher, and sink. There was plenty of hot water. The beds and bedding were comfortable and everything was very clean. We all slept so well. The flat stayed cool even though it was warm outside.
The flat is conveniently located, 1 hour from Rome FCO, 15-20 minutes from the nearest train station to Rome (Cesano, 30-35 min. to Valle Aurelia), and most importantly, only a few meters from the lakeshore. There is parking nearby, a grocery store, gas station, and dozens of restaurants and shops all in walking distance.
I do recommend having a rental car. We did, and this apartment is a great starting point for day trips to Rome & Tuscany. In ~4 days, we visited Rome, Montepulciano, Viterbo, and the coast. Plus we spent a day enjoying Trevignano and the lake area.
Vriendelijke groet Rob & Elly
This was Carol's and my first time in Italy and it was the best. The flat was perfect for us, with everything we needed within walking distance. The coffee and pastry from the nearby cafe in the mornings was a delight. The sights in the nearby towns were great. Catching the train to Rome in the nearby town of Cesano was easy and convenient, let us off at a station within walking distance of the Vatican. The flat was neat and clean, and Alessandro's father, Vincenzo was very helpful. We will be sure to book the flat again the next time we return. We give it five stars.
Our stay in this B n B was delightful. We loved the `Old World` charm and lovely décor. I would be remiss not to mention the perfect comfort of the bed which afforded us valuable rest after long walks, hikes and days of travel.
Alessandro`s detailed itineraries were helpful guides as was his ease of communication through the whole process. His father Vincenzo was very kind and welcoming and just a phone call away.
It was a privilege to be surrounded by Etrustcan history, to walk cobblestone streets in such a beautiful setting, and to rub shoulders with many friendly people. When we return to Trevignano it will definitely be for a longer stay as there is so much more to discover. Thank you Alessandro and Vincenzo!

About the Host, Alessandro
I am an easy-going person who loves travelling and meeting new people. I enjoy playing any kind of sport and living at direct contact with nature. I am an happy father of two young boys who keep myself and my wife busy at all times.
I have been living in foreign countries for a few years now but I obviously still have Italy in my heart.
To come and stay in my flat will give you the opportunity to live for a few days in a marvellous small village.
Trevignano it's a real gem! It is located within walking distance to the lovely Lake Bracciano where you can relax escaping from your everyday routine but still just half an hour driving from Rome.
I can give you a lot of tips in terms of things to do, places to visit, restaurant to go eat real Italian food (where the locals go...). After all, Lazio is not all about Rome. There are plenty of nice places to visit in this area. I have mentioned already the castle of Bracciano (which lately hosted lots of Hollywood stars' wedding - e.g. Tom Cruise - Mena Suvari), the wonderful Borgo in Trevignano but just to highlight a few more I would also recommend visiting the medieval city of Viterbo, the fascinating village of Calcata, the charming Borgo in Anguillara Sabazia or the small lake Martignano (located absolutely in the middle of nowhere).
Well....I guess I'll be waiting to hearing from you soon. Any questions just shoot me a line and I'll be happy to assist you to the best of my knowledge.
Ciao e a presto!
