Interaction with Guests
I always encourage guests to express their wishes in advance so that the flat can be set up accordingly.
Don't expect to receive a call from me just to check if everything is ok. I don't do that. This is your vacation time and I would consider that as an intrusion!! After checking-in, myself or my father can be reached via email or mobile for any queries.
Trevignano is a fascinating village that offers a wealth of things to experience, and whether you are into relaxing on the clear waters of Lake Bracciano, practicing sailing/windsurf/canoeing, visiting the fabulous castle of Bracciano or simply tasting the local food and wines in the large variety of restaurants, you will find this flat makes the ideal base.
While I would advise a rental car to reach Trevignano from both Ciampino (airport), Fiumicino (airport), Termini (main train station) and Civitavecchia (harbor), you do not need a car to move around in Trevignano. Everything is at a stone's throw. There is a shuttle bus stop a few meters away which could take you to Rome (1hour), Anguillara (10 mins) and Bracciano (10 mins).
If you plan to visit the marvelous Roman countryside, car is strictly necessary.
The historical centre of the Eternal City (i.e. Rome) can be easily reached by driving 40 km (= 25 Miles). The medieval city of Viterbo is also very close (25km = 15 miles).
Other Things to Note
Pick-up at Fiumicino airport, Ciampino airport and Termini train station can be offered at very competitive fares.
Smoking is not allowed inside the flat. However, if you really can not live without it, you can enjoy your cigarette or cigar from one of the windows overlooking the Borgo Antico.
If you would like to bring your lovely pets along with you, please coordinate with me in advance.
From Jul 1 - Aug 31, 2016 the minimum stay is 7 nights.
I am an easy-going person who loves travelling and meeting new people. I enjoy playing any kind of sport and living at direct contact with nature. I am an happy father of two young boys who keep myself and my wife busy at all times.
I have been living in foreign countries for a few years now but I obviously still have Italy in my heart.
To come and stay in my flat will give you the opportunity to live for a few days in a marvellous small village.
Trevignano it's a real gem! It is located within walking distance to the lovely Lake Bracciano where you can relax escaping from your everyday routine but still just half an hour driving from Rome.
I can give you a lot of tips in terms of things to do, places to visit, restaurant to go eat real Italian food (where the locals go...). After all, Lazio is not all about Rome. There are plenty of nice places to visit in this area. I have mentioned already the castle of Bracciano (which lately hosted lots of Hollywood stars' wedding - e.g. Tom Cruise - Mena Suvari), the wonderful Borgo in Trevignano but just to highlight a few more I would also recommend visiting the medieval city of Viterbo, the fascinating village of Calcata, the charming Borgo in Anguillara Sabazia or the small lake Martignano (located absolutely in the middle of nowhere).
Well....I guess I'll be waiting to hearing from you soon. Any questions just shoot me a line and I'll be happy to assist you to the best of my knowledge.
Ciao e a presto!
