Interaction with Guests
I always encourage guests to express their wishes in advance so that the flat can be set up accordingly.
Don't expect to receive a call from me just to check if everything is ok. I don't do that. This is your vacation time and I would consider that as an intrusion!! After checking-in, myself or my father can be reached via email or mobile for any queries.
Trevignano is a fascinating village that offers a wealth of things to experience, and whether you are into relaxing on the clear waters of Lake Bracciano, practicing sailing/windsurf/canoeing, visiting the fabulous castle of Bracciano or simply tasting the local food and wines in the large variety of restaurants, you will find this flat makes the ideal base.
While I would advise a rental car to reach Trevignano from both Ciampino (airport), Fiumicino (airport), Termini (main train station) and Civitavecchia (harbor), you do not need a car to move around in Trevignano. Everything is at a stone's throw. There is a shuttle bus stop a few meters away which could take you to Rome (1hour), Anguillara (10 mins) and Bracciano (10 mins).
If you plan to visit the marvelous Roman countryside, car is strictly necessary.
The historical centre of the Eternal City (i.e. Rome) can be easily reached by driving 40 km (= 25 Miles). The medieval city of Viterbo is also very close (25km = 15 miles).
Other Things to Note
Pick-up at Fiumicino airport, Ciampino airport and Termini train station can be offered at very competitive fares.
Smoking is not allowed inside the flat. However, if you really can not live without it, you can enjoy your cigarette or cigar from one of the windows overlooking the Borgo Antico.
If you would like to bring your lovely pets along with you, please coordinate with me in advance.
This is a wonderful, charming and romantic little place in the most beautiful smal village. Alessandro and hos father are very welcoming people and kind to guide and tell about what to see and visit nearby. And there are lots to see! A stroll around the lake, a trip JP north in the small mountains and a visit to the fascinating city og Rome, just to mention af few opportunities. Thank you, Alessandro, for a wonderful week in Italia!
Alessandro was an excellent host. He sent us a very detailed and helpful list of things to do around the area as well as recommended places to eat. He was also very helpful with information on transport getting to and from Trevignano. The house was great , really cosy and an excellent location. Trevignano is a great little place with a beautiful lake and the least touristy place we've been in Italy. Overall a fantastic time and I highly recommend staying at Alessandros.
Amazing experience in Trevignano Romano. Beautiful lake, good restaurants, clean town, this place is 20 steps from THE center and very close to an ATM and a grocery store. A great experience of a small Italian town and the lake is so big it seems like an ocean. We attempted to windsurf while there. Lots of water activities for rent.
We had a great time here.
Trevignano is a lovely village, Alessandro provided us with lots of useful information about things to do and places to see, restaurants to visit, and even itiniraries for visiting Rome.
His dad, Vincenzo, very kindly met us and told us all we needed to know.
We really liked the appartment, it is just like you see in the pictures, and contained everything we needed, including books to read.
The location is very good. Although only a few meters away from the terrace on the little square - which is great for breakfast and a lovely cappuccino - , the lake, the shops..., it is still pretty quiet.
The street is beautiful. It's narrow, no cars, lots of plants, small side streets going to the lake.
We particularly liked the little bench under our bedroom window, where the local people meet. Such a pleasure, listening to them talking Italian...
We were met by Alessandro's lovely dad Vincenzo, who showed us the apartment . The apartment is everything that the pictures promise, lots of room and very clean , with lots of character. It's location is absolutely gorgeous, right in the centre of the extremely picturesque town of Trevignano and only a stones throw away from the lake. We loved it there, and for a couple of days felt like a local. The apartment is very central to lots of beautiful drives and little towns to visit, and we can certainly highly recommend this place.
Thanks Vincenzo, for making us feel so welcome!
Trevignano is a gem! This flat is just off the little town square, which is full of action day and night... we felt like we really were getting the "Italian" experience. Allessandro was the ultimate host - meeting us in a downpour, and helping us with the luggage. The flat is adorable and just as pictured. Plenty of room for our family of four. The kitchen area and table are roomy - but we NEVER cooked, as there are amazing cafes and restaurants within a 1 minute walk. The lake was so beautiful, that we spent 2 full days there instead of touring - if you walk 10 minutes from flat the beach gets wider and you can rent chairs for the day. Getting to ROME was easy - we drove to train so parking and driving in the city would not be challenging. Overall a wonderful experience!
The flat is fantastically located in the old city center and in walking distance of the beaches on the lake. Alessandro and his parents are excellent hosts. The flat itself is nicely furnished and the kitchen etc fully equipped. Not that one needs to cook: there are great restaurants in the neighbourhood and a dangerously delicious ice cream, coffee, cake cafe, Ermete. To be recommended!

I am an easy-going person who loves travelling and meeting new people. I enjoy playing any kind of sport and living at direct contact with nature. I am an happy father of two young boys who keep myself and my wife busy at all times.
I have been living in foreign countries for a few years now but I obviously still have Italy in my heart.
To come and stay in my flat will give you the opportunity to live for a few days in a marvellous small village.
Trevignano it's a real gem! It is located within walking distance to the lovely Lake Bracciano where you can relax escaping from your everyday routine but still just half an hour driving from Rome.
I can give you a lot of tips in terms of things to do, places to visit, restaurant to go eat real Italian food (where the locals go...). After all, Lazio is not all about Rome. There are plenty of nice places to visit in this area. I have mentioned already the castle of Bracciano (which lately hosted lots of Hollywood stars' wedding - e.g. Tom Cruise - Mena Suvari), the wonderful Borgo in Trevignano but just to highlight a few more I would also recommend visiting the medieval city of Viterbo, the fascinating village of Calcata, the charming Borgo in Anguillara Sabazia or the small lake Martignano (located absolutely in the middle of nowhere).
Well....I guess I'll be waiting to hearing from you soon. Any questions just shoot me a line and I'll be happy to assist you to the best of my knowledge.
Ciao e a presto!
