Fully renovated, The Village Retreat is a two bedroom, 1.5 bath home located right in The Village! Fully landscaped front & backyard featuring a spa, BBQ, and propane fire pit with outdoor dining space. Full sized washer, dryer, and kitchen appliances. A pack & play with a sheet can be provided upon request.
All bedding, bath towels, and spa towels are provided.
We do NOT allow pets on our property. Please respect our home & rules.
Bedroom 1: California King bed, smart TV, closet space.
Bedroom 2: California King bed, smart TV, closet space.
We provide shampoo, conditioner, & body wash. Hand towels, washcloths, and makeup cloths are also provided. Our bath towels & spa towels are not meant for lake use, please bring your own towels for the lake.
Bathroom 1: Full bath. Shower, single sink. Laundry in the bathroom.
Bathroom 2: Half bath.
Living Room: Open to the kitchen area. Features a sectional couch + additional seating in the bar area. Smart TV. We ask that guests do not use our fireplace currently- doing so will result in a fine/additional cleaning fee.
Dining: Located in the kitchen, dining table seats 4.
Kitchen: Fridge, gas stove, microwave, drip/Keurig coffee maker, pour over coffee, toaster. Fully stocked with utensils, dishwater, and cookware.
Sitting Room: Enjoy peekaboo lake views, a cozy couch, and chess/backgammon table.
Heating/Cooling: Forced air furnace throughout the home for heat. No fireplace use permitted.
No A/C. Ceiling fans in bedrooms, and tower fans provided. We encourage guests to open windows in the evenings in the summer time for cooling.
Backyard: Partially fenced backyard. New spa. Propane fire pit & dining/seating area.
Parking: Flat driveway parking for up to 2 vehicles.

This home does not allow animals. We love fur-babies, however we cannot have them in our home. Please respect this request. Disregard for our rules may results in fines or eviction.

We want to meet expectations for both our hosts and our guests by making things clear. Some things to note:
Please respect our neighbors, our community, and follow the Good Neighbor Policy listed below:
-Do not exceed the occupancy limit
-Do not exceed the stated occupancy at any time during your stay. The maximum number of adult occupants may be less than the total maximum occupancy. NO PARTIES ALLOWED.
-No parking in street or yard
-Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. The maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior sign.
-No amplified music 24/7.
-Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line 24/7. -Close your windows to avoid music carrying beyond the property line.
-Head inside at 10:00 p.m.
-Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
-Take your furry friend with you.
Take your dog with you so they do not disturb surrounding neighbors. You will find that Big Bear Lake is very dog-friendly! (OUR HOME DOES NOT ALLOW PETS)
-Take trash to dumpster locations
Trash needs to be taken to a local dumpsite. Clean Bear locations:
41970 Garstin Drive & 39690 Big Bear Blvd.
-Fines:
The minimum fine for violating the rules stated previously is $500 per violation. A second offense is $1000 per violation.
-Eviction:
Unruly guests who blatantly disregard the rules and expectations will be evicted without a refund. In addition, costly citations may be issued to the undersigned.
Big Bear Lake requires an additional 11% for vacation rentals. It is sent directly to the city of Big Bear Lake.
Security Deposit- day prior to check in, you will be sent a request for the full security deposit. Funds will be returned 3 days after checkout if all rules are followed, and no damage occurs.
Cleaning Fee- non negotiable. Covers basic cleaning, laundering, and spa cleaning. This does not cover if trash is left behind, bodily fluid, excessive mess, dirty dishes, or blatant disregard of rules. An additional fee will be charged as needed.
Trash- You are responsible for removing all of your trash from the property. Trash must be taken to a local dump site.

Check out is 10am. Please be prompt. Our cleaning team may arrive shortly after checkout, and an additional fee will be charged if they have to wait, or return at a later time.
Please note during winter months: Our roads are plowed regularly, however you may need four wheel drive and/or chains. We are not responsible for weather related travel issues.
We are diligent about snow removal during the winter months, you may run into our plow team during your stay.
Our spa is maintained after each and every guest. Please be mindful of lotions, oils, and dirt when entering the spa. Excessive use or abuse will results in a drain, clean, and refill fee.
Friendly reminder- You are visiting the mountains. We do our best to control any pests, animals, etc. There may be sap producing trees on or near the property.
Violation of any restrictions will result in an eviction without a refund.
Our strict cancellation policy is in effect. Any cancellations requesting a full refund will need to provide proper documentation to the hosting site. We will NOT cancel your reservation for you.
All requests to change dates must be done a minimum of 14 days before your stay. Prices may change due to the change of date.
Early check-in and late checkout may be accommodated if possible- but will be subject to a $50 fee.
If you instant book, you assume responsibility that all restrictions will be followed. We are not responsible for any eviction, fine, or inconvenience due to disregarding the restrictions placed in Big Bear Lake.
