The apartment is well situated in central 101 area, only 2 blocks away from the main shopping street Laugavegur. Short walking distance to all main attraction in the city center (2-15 min), like shops, bars, restaurants, cafés, galleries, concert hall and the harbor with its many attraction. Only about 10 min walk to the grocery store.
Fastest way from Keflavik International is to take the Airport Express bus to Lækjartorg, in the city center (40 min) and then a taxi (3 min) to the apartment or walk (10-12 min). There are two bus companies that drive more or less every 30 minutes from the airport to Reykjavik (Airport Express or Flybus). You can also buy a ticket that offers a drop off to the nearest hotel, for small extra fee (Ask for drop off at Welcome apartments on the corner of Lindargata and Vatnsstig - 2 min walk to your apt). These companies have sales offices in the arrival hall at Keflavik airport.

We were delighted with this spacious, stylish, sparkling clean, beautifully central apartment with all mod cons. The host is responsive, helpful and friendly. I'd love to live in this apartment. Probably the nicest AirBnB I've ever stayed in. A 2 minute walk to bars, coffeeshops, restaurants and a great cinema. A 2 min walk in the other direction to the sea walk. What a great place.
We felt very welcome in Dyrleif's family home.
The apartment was so nice and comfortable. Lots of personal touches We hope to go back if the apartment is available next yr.
Dyrleif's place was fantastic! Very well decorated and just a short walk from the main shopping street. This place has everything one would need to enjoy their stay in Reykjavik.
What a cozy apartment this is! We stayed for three nights with our 11 months old daugther, and for us this was a perfect place to stay. Close to everything we needed in Reykjavik, and with a garden outside where our baby could play in the evenings. The apartment had everything we needed, and we recommend it highly!
The Apartment is super- centrally located and very cozy. We felt like home. There is even a garden attached. Wonderful!
The apartment was amazing! We felt incredibly welcome and loved our stay. What a great few nights of sleep we had! The Dýrleif was welcoming and anticipated our needs. We can't wait to return to Reykjavik
and stay here again!

About the Host, Dýrleif
I live in Reykjavik city central with my husband and 4 kids (from 9-21 years). I was working as a stylist and in costume design for advertisements, movies and theatre for several years, but at the moment I'm renting out apartments and studying managemnet and strategic planning. I love the basic things in life, like dining and vining, meeting friends and family, and of course.. travelling; seeing new places and faces, experiencing different cultures and habits
