The space
Downtown Asheville is open and bustling - a quick, three-block walk away!

Coming for a concert at the Cherokee Center? You won’t find a closer location!! Bonus - you’ll save as much as $30 on event parking and can be tucked in your cozy bed within 15 minutes of the show’s ending. We are also a comfortable walk from The Orange Peel, Asheville Yards, the South Slope brewery district, and Asheville’s finest downtown shops and restaurants.

The Retreat is a private suite attached to the back of our historical home, with a separate, locked entrance. You will share a hallway with one other guest, but your suite is totally your own (and very quiet)! We like to say we are set up like a little hotel but with only two rooms off of a small, locked hallway.

Once you enter the Retreat, make yourself comfortable in the queen-sized bed with high-end linens; relax in the natural stone shower; or enjoy a snack or takeout meal at the cozy table-for-two. Choose your beverage: coffee, a selection of teas, and flavored hot chocolate are all provided (sweeteners and creamers too!). Help yourself to a treat from the basket of snacks in your suite.

Wifi is excellent, and tv includes YouTube TV (cable equivalent) access and the ability to connect to your own Netflix account.

A state-of-the-art Mitsubishi mini-split unit allows you to efficiently heat/cool the suite to your exact specifications.

Many of our guests park their cars and walk the entire time they are here! Parking on our street is abundant and free.

We are located three blocks from the Asheville Civic Center (Harrah's Cherokee Center). From there, the boutiques and restaurants of Asheville unfold in every direction. The South Slope brewery district is just under a mile from our home, and an easy walk.

We are also a short walk (or VERY short drive) to the Visitors Center, which is fantastic. You can catch the Hop On/Hop Off Trolley Tour there -- a great way to see the city and all of its attractions. On your way to the Visitors Center, you'll pass All Day Darling, a favorite spot for locals to grab some coffee and a snack or a healthy meal.

Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Harris Teeter are all within a half mile -- we do most of our grocery shopping on foot.

Strolling the streets of historic Montford is also a lot of fun. The homes are eclectic and very charming.
