The best deal in Los Angeles! Your own private room, with locking door, in a hostel type setting. Two blocks from the main subway station. We rent cars cheap too!

The space

Private room in 4 bedroom 2 bath apartment. Secure, your room has a deadbolt lock. These apartments are used as dormitories for international students (adults) studying at local colleges and USC. It's like a hostel, but you have your own room. There are two twin beds, two desks, chairs and lamps. There is a closet. No radio, no TV but there is free wireless Internet, and it is fast and stable.

This is our smallest and cheapest room. This room is only for 1 person as it has only a twin bed. If you are OK to share a twin or sleep on the floor you may add a second person for $10 more a night. Two is the maximum. If you want a bigger room, including a room for up to 4 people, please see our other listings which are on the same property!

Between Hollywood and Downtown, 1 block walk to the Vermont/Wilshire subway station (Red and Purple Lines). Easy public transport. Express busses, local busses, the subway.... taxi from the place to LA Live is $7 - $8. Other places close by: Braille Institute of America, Downtown, The Grove, Hollywood, Los Angeles City College, Universal Studios, USC. Close hospitals: Children's, Hollywood Presbyterian, Kaiser, Good Samaritan, St. Vincent.

Rooms usually have two beds, but if you need one more, or only want one, we can accommodate you. There are two bathrooms per four room unit, and you have full access to the kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, rice cooker, pots and pans, etc...)

We maybe be able to accommodate your pet, it's case by case. Message me about him or her and we'll see what we can do.

There are 4 apartments total, and extra rooms are available to the public through airbnb. Availability changes frequently, so if we are full for your selected dates check back weekly, space may open up. And of course check our other listings, this room may be booked but the other available (Airbnb lists by room, not property).

One block from the Vermont/Wilshire Red and Purple subway lines, a few stops from Hollywood or Downtown LA, and a few more to Universal Studios.

If you have stayed in a hostel before, you probably already know what to expect. You have one of four rooms. We will provide you with clean bedding and toilet paper on the first day, but after that you do your own laundry (washer and dry on site). Your toiletries (shampoo, soap, etc...) are provided by you. Sure, if you need something or lost something, we will help you out, just ask. But in general you bring your own stuff. (There are a number of markets a short walk from the room.)

The common areas (kitchen and bathrooms) are cleaned weekly, but you are expected to clean up after yourself, and to do so immediately after using the area. If any common area is messy, contact me immediately and we will take care of it, no problem. (I live next door.) We do not always check the common areas everyday, so please, if something is not right, let me know. I want to know. I will take care of it :)

You have your own private room; however, the bathrooms and kitchen are shared. There are four private rooms per unit. Thus it is necessary to respect others wishes, which means:
1) No smoking inside. Please smoke outside. There is a back patio and a front porch.
2) No parties.
3) No loud music or such.
If you have a problem with someone leaving the common areas dirty, smoking, loud noise, etc.... let us know immediately, and we will take care of it right away.

We are happy to help and advise, but basically we will leave you alone unless you ask. It is a great room for the price, and you cannot do better for access to public transport.

This place has wonderful location! The common areas had a lived in feel, but not "dirty." Overall, a very reasonable place for the price.

I wouldn't recommend this place. It does the trick if you're on a budget - it's cheap, private, the bed was comfortable, and the area seemed safe enough. But the house is old and run down, it wasn't the cleanest, people inside the house were noisy during the middle of the night, and there's nothing in the bathroom to dry your hands with after you've washed them (nor are any towels provided)... If you can afford someplace better, go there instead.

Had a great stay. Kelly was very accommodating. The house is walkable to the subway station, great for getting around LA without a car.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone staying longer than 2-3 days. It was convenient as far as location, however the house had a lot of small flys flying around at all times. The shower water pressure wasn't that great.

Convenient, with the sort of amenities and renovations you can expect for that price, with possibility to park, reliable wifi, kitchen, washing machine. Ideally located very close to a metro station and other public transportation, steps away from the heart of Koreatown. Recommended.

Kelly was very helpful while I was moving in and the space was quiet for the duration of my stay. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in Koreatown on a budget.
