We had a fantastic stay at Suzanne's cottage! The cottage and surrounding gardens are beautiful and secluded, while still being very close to surrounding beaches another points of interest. Suzanne was a great host! She was lovely to deal with and very flexible with our arrival/departure times. Suzanne also provided some toiletries and snorkel gear at the cottage, which we greatly appreciated. We highly recommend Suzanne's lovely cottage and hope to come back again some day!
Suzanne's cottage was amazing! Everything we needed was supplied, including snorkel gear and boogie boards. If off the grid is what you're after, this is the place to be! The closest shops for groceries were about a 15-20 minute drive away. The cottage is surrounded by fruit trees and jungle. Suzanne was very approachable and pointed out some awesome sites to see in the area. This was the perfect place for some R&R! I highly recommend staying here!
We had an amazing long weekend at Suzanne's teak bungalow! It was great to unwind and check out the market with the locals. We had great food from Uncle Roberts Saturday morning farmers market.
It was also great that when we had our fill of reading, playing cards, hiking around and general relaxing we were able to turn on her fast internet and watch netflix and listen to music.
The charming house geckos were fun to watch and kept the bugs away. The kitchen is stocked with utensils and cooking supplies, so this place has everything you need for a weekend away! Just bring something fun to cook and have a great time!
The outdoor shower is simple and hot. TONS of fun snorkeling and sight seeing close by. Get away from Kona and come out to this spot on the east side!
Awesome house, cabin, location!!! Everything was so right on,beautiful job Suzanne!
We loved our stay at Suzanne's beautiful cottage! The surrounding garden was incredible and it felt very private. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the warm outdoor shower and the perfect indoor bath - big and deep and full of heated rain water. It was nice to have Netflix and the Internet if we wanted, but plenty to venture out and see in the area, and so enjoyable to just relax in the cottage or garden. We also loved being lolled by the sounds of the birds, the frogs, and the parrots! I'm even sure we could hear the ocean at night from the cottage. Additionally, Suzanne was a great source for suggestions on what to go see and do.
Amazing place! Stayed a couple of nights and was left wanting more. The cottage is beautiful and the scenery even better. Perfect for anyone wanting to get away from crazy city vibes!
Our stay at Suzanne's studio was great. Everything was exactly as described. You have your own coattage with your privat garden (very beautiful). The location of the studio was perfect in a very beautiful part of the Island (witch you maybe would not see if you haven't your apartment there). You have everything you need. It is very clean and very well decorated. Don't forget it is in the middle of the jungle and you have little animals around (the frogs at night, geckos inside the cottage(harmless)...) but if you don't mide that, we do recommand it !!!
Suzanne is a very friendly host, she came over to help us with the oven (we had a question with the gas-oven)!
For a stay in Big Island, I do recommand it!!!
I've worked in the hospitality industry serving guests with aloha for the last 25 years. I also enjoy gardening and creating beautiful outdoor spaces. Some guests tell me the grounds look like a tropical botanical park. Hosting a vacation rental gives me the opportunity to combine my talents in creating rewarding and rich experiences for my guests and myself.
My objective in building the cottage was to create an ambience of old Hawaii, with a sense of timelessness for ultimate relaxation and peace.
