When I am at the riad, I love meeting my guests & sharing my experiences of Marrakech as well as being available to give advice & tips to make their stay as enjoyable & memorable as possible.
Our riad is situated in a peaceful residential neighbourhood in a quiet derb ( street). I really like that are Moroccan families also living here. We are members of the local Community Association which supports local community projects. Our neighbourhood bakery is nearby as are the markets where local people shop. This all gives guests a wonderful to observe local life a world away from the tourist attractions. However in a few minutes you can also be in the heart of the souks where all the action is!
The Marrakech medina is best explored on foot. For journeys to the New town & the Marjorelle gardens it is easy to get a 'petit' taxi on the Main square. Taxis are plentiful & cheap.
The horse drawn calaches are also a lovely way of seeing the sights.
Free wi - fi is available throughout the riad. Electrical appliances work on 2 pin European plugs.
Th Riad LINDA is a perfect place to discover Marrakech. Really well located in the heart of the medina, only two minutes from Jeammaa place. The Riad is very charming authentical and also very clean. The terrasse is perfect for breakfeast or to get sun in the afternoon. The people where really helpful with us. It was a perfect stay
I definetly recommand this place.
Riad Linda was in a fantastic central location, the family working there was really sweet and ready to help us, but they especially served us hearty breakfast in the morning.
Rooms were clean, quiet and cosy.
I'd definitely recommend to stay in this Riad, we had a great time!
We were very happy with Linda's Riad. Her Manager, Rashid was extremely helpful and so was Wadeer. The breakfast was excellent and Rashid found us a very sweet driver to take us to Fes for a reasonable cost. Thanks Linda!
This riad is located in a dead-end street in the centre of the Marrakech, really close to Djemaa el Fna. The place was quite clean and the room was spacious. The personnel, from what we had to do with them (not much actually), was kind. The breakfast was not bad. It included an omelette, bread (different type every morning), butter, marmalade and tea or coffee.
My friend and me had a very nice stay at Riad Linda. The photos can tell the beauty of the place itself, but cannot tell how welcoming, helping and extremely friendly are the people working there.
The riad is situated in the center of medina, very close to all the Zouks and nearby the Jemma el Fna. You have to walk through little streets to get to the riad. We weren't feeling comfortable walking back to the riad (2 girls) at night as there were young boys standing around in the corners and shouting nasty things at us.
We enjoyed staying in the riad, the concierge was very helpful when we ask for anything. We were surprised though that when we arrived instead of getting a room with 2 single beds we had one double bed in our room. This was solved very quickly by giving one of us another room for free. Also, the concierge didn't know that we were leaving the next day which you would expect.
The rooms definitely looked better on the pictures, certainly they seemed bigger. All the basics are there but when you take a closer look, you will notice that some of the things for example lamb shades are awry, the pole for the towels isnt properly attached etc. Just little things but they do add up.
All in all the riad is fine/ok to stay in particular because of its location, but the pictures and description do promise something different then what it really is.
On top of that, we were surprised when we found out that Linda wasn't going to be in the riad at all which is one of the reasons why airbnb guestshouses are chosen over hotels. Most of us choose to stay in a airbnb because we get insights and suggestions from someone who knows the city which in a city like Marrakech is very much needed and appreciated by tourists.
We always welcome comments from all our guests & work hard to ensure that everyone enjoys a great stay with us. I would just like to point out that I did inform this guest beforehand that unfortunately I was not going to be in Marrakech at the time of her visit. Prior to thi,s I did provide her with a lot of advice & information & even arranged a last minute request for an airport transfer to ensure that she arrived at our riad safely. Our English speaking manager was also on hand to offer advice and to make sure that she was well looked after.
The Riad is a lovely location in the middle of the Souk. We especially enjoyed the roof terrace at nights. The staff is really nice, friendly and always happy to help with anything.
The staff could provide more fresh fruit or breakfast and try to prepare earlier so that you don't have to ask for every single bit separately - which takes time. The only downturn was that we had problems with remaining payment as the staff miscalculated the number of nights and the taxidriver back to the airport charged us more than what was agreed upon.
Straightforward to find.
Rooms were small but clean.
The shower in the toilet was very awkward to use. It left the whole of the bathroom soaked.
Breakfast wasn't as good or extensive as other places I've stayed (similar price)
Riad Linda was beautifully decorated and well looked after. The terrace at the top is a beautiful retreat from the hectic market place. It is located very close to the main square but far enough away to escape it. The street that leads you from the square to the Riad is very chaotic, crowded and overwhelming at times. This Riad did not feel as homely as other riads have made us feel. It was more like a hotel. No one was there to welcome us or help us during the day. The maid was lovely but could not speak English to help us.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
