About this listing
A 200-year old rectory stuffed with antiques set in the middle of the Irish countryside on its own gardens, pasture, woodland and orchard extending to 13 acres. Friendly host offers comfortable beds, fine breakfasts and an authentic Irish experience.
Welcome! I live in an old Georgian rectory built around 1812. It's in a stunning location close to lakeland in Westmeath. House is set on 13 acres of woodland, pasture, and gardens. Ideal for you if on a walking holiday, fishing trip, or if you are attending Body and Soul in Clonmellon. Great spot for touring to Fore Abbey, Oldcastle, Castlepollard, Tullynally Castle. I can guide you. I'm a great guy who wants to make you happy, just tell me what you need. My home is a mix of old world with mod cons to make life that bit easier.
Anything required. I want you to be comfortable.
Lakeland Westmeath is just moments away. The area is very much farming and therefore very low residential. So its a peaceful and quiet retreat yet teeming with wildlife. There is a lovely 5-mile circular walk from my front gate which takes you through bogland (dry), forest and very quiet roads (laneways) - perfect after breakfast!
This is a pretty laid back place deep in the Irish countryside. There are no rules, except maybe lets keep smoking outside. Certain pets are welcome, but we should talk about it beforehand.
About the Host, Kevin
Friendly guy with a passion for county living. I've travelled a good bit around the world but there is so much more to see. I love meeting new people, sharing stories, and connecting.
Life is for Living.
