I had a lovely time at Bermondsey Street. The flat is exactly as it is promoted (the pictures and description are entirely accurate) and Tara made me feel very welcome - including doing some shopping and providing fruit and some breakfast cereals at the start of the stay. The Bermondsey neighbourhood seems very trendy with lots of restaurants and bars and things to do - but we didn't get a chance to try many of them out during our short stay. The flat is fantastically well situated just south of Tower Bridge (walking distance) and close to transport - no problems getting anywhere you need to go. All in all, a wonderful spot.
The flat is in a great location and has many wonderful restaurants and cute shops on the street. It is just as it looks in the pictures, is clean, modern, and was a relaxing place for us to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. Tara was extremely helpful providing information before we arrived and greeting us and showing us around the flat when we got there. She was a kind and gracious host. We would definitely stay there again.
We loved Tara's place! Beautiful, quiet, warm (we visited in Winter) and in the middle of one of the hippest streets in London. Tara and Johnny were exceptionally communicative hosts throughout, and left us some champagne in the fridge! We'll be back :)
Our experience was really great. Tara & co made sure we had everything we needed, were available with spare keys when we locked ourselves out (derp). They even stocked the fridge before we arrived.
The location is brilliant. 10/10 would definitely stay again.
Tara's friend Wendy was there to meet us & make sure we had everything we needed. We know & love the location & Tara's flat was a great place to see in the New year, we could see fire works going off all around us from the balcony. The flat was warm, comfortable & with plenty of space for the four of us. The bottle of sparkling wine & fresh fruit were a real treat & we loved the xmas tree! I would not hesitate to recommend Tara's flat as a place to stay.
First up, let me say that Tara and Johnnie were excellent hosts. Our plane got in early and johnnie still jumped out of bed at 7am on a Saturday to open up the flat! with smiles and good advice. Full marks.
The location is right in the heart of hipster London bridge and has a host of pubs, cafes, and mini shops nearby. Just within the congestion charge zone, worth noting if you drive.
I'd recommend this to singles/couples as the last two flights have no lift, which makes carry young kids and prams a bind. Would not have been a problem at all for healthy adults. Flat a good size, with a nice oven (we did a good roast) and a dining table. I found the water pressure machine a bit noisy all night in both rooms, but apart from that flat was quiet - no street noise and no flight path. Beds a bit small for two six footers as we were, but clean sheets and pillows.
The easiest route to London bridge is closed due to roadworks until 2016, but the existent walk is only 15 mins. Plenty of taxis going past at all hours. No crime concerns - the area has changed massively from ten years ago - but some estates about a mile to the south and west that you don't want to wander into in my view. That's not the way anyone would go anyway, to be fair.
Overall a nice stay with good hosts. Great for a couple of couples or a family with teenagers. Recommend.
The apartment is fabulous, the location is brilliant, and the facilities are fantastic, a real home from home. Bermondsey is a really cool place to stay, easy walking distance from London Bridge tube to the apartments, with nice places to eat and drink very close by. Tara and Wendy were great- met us to check in, no problems, left us a bottle of fizz and a big bowl of fruit. Fabulous.

I really love living and working in London. Sampling all the delicious foods in the many restaurants, visiting one of the many markets, galleries, parks or plays. Strolling up my road - Bermondsey Street, stopping off at the bustling Antiques Fair and Borough Market. As you can see I like good food, good company in a great spaces. I am adventurous, with a good sense of humour; someone who believes you shouldn't take life too seriously and live it to the ful!
