• In order to keep our pool clean and all parameters in order, our team visits the accommodation every Friday.

• Please be informed that we will be requesting the submission of personal data from guests (name, date of birth, ID card/passport number, nationality, and country of residence). This submission is mandatory for communication with AIMA (formerly SEF – Foreigners and Borders Service), under Article 45 of the Schengen Agreement and the recent Local Accommodation law in Portugal.

• Some essentials will be provided upon arrival (e.g., toilet paper, laundry/dish detergent capsules (or similar), napkins, etc.); however, it is the guests' responsibility to restock these items as needed.

• In order to comply with local regulations, we are applying the newly implemented Tourist Tax (Municipality of Ribeira Brava - REGULATION No. 1031/2024). As of October 2024, Local Accommodations in the Ribeira Brava municipality will apply a fee of €2 per person, per night, for up to 7 nights (children up to the age of 13 are exempt).
For reservations booked before October 1, 2024, and already confirmed, the payment of this tax must be settled by the end of the stay and can be made in cash or by bank transfer. For new bookings, the corresponding amount will already be included in the applicable fees.

• Pool heating available upon request; additional cost of €25 per night, minimum stay required (please inform at the time of booking or at least one week prior to arrival). The pool can be heated up to approximately 5ºC above its ambient temperature.

• Please note that there is ongoing construction work in the village of Ribeira Brava. Although there is a significant difference in altitude and distance, occasional noise may be heard from the property, depending on wind direction or the type of work being carried out.

Ribeira Brava is located on the southwest coast of Madeira Island. The accommodation is located in a quiet and peaceful area with magnificent views. The fusion of the sea and the mountains provides a unique environment. Multiple services, such as cafes, restaurants, banks, supermarkets, laundry, health center, pharmacy and police station, are just minutes away from the accommodation.
We recommend renting a car, so you can easily access any point on the island. Ribeira Brava is located in the center of the island, a 15-minute drive from the city of Funchal. If you want to discover the nature of the island, we advise you to visit Serra d'Água to appreciate the beauty of that valley and you can still walk in the wonderful "levadas" (irrigation channels) that exist there. If you prefer to dive into the crystal-clear waters of Ribeira Brava, we recommend the paradisiacal Fajã dos Padres.
