Peace and quiet

Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
You won’t forget your time in this romantic, memorable place. A large comfy 14’X16’ safari tent on a deck 4.5’ off ground to take you away from it all!
Luxurious King sized bed with memory foam mattress and a leather sofa bed.
We are off grid so we provide a WOOD STOVE, firewood is available, propane heater and power station provided for lights and charging your electronics.

Extra guests after 2 are $20 pp. a night. Please bring bedding for extra guests.

The space
We live in a beautiful location! The main attraction are the outdoors. The large Ponderosa and Oak treed forest engulf the safari tent with the smell of what some say smells like vanilla. Birds are chirping, deer grazing and squirrels gathering. Sit on the porch and watch it all happen. It truly is relaxing!
I want to mention the STARGAZING here is amazing! Just push the power button on the backside of the solar panel for the lights, and it will turn them off for a better view of the night sky. Please turn them back on, if you remember.
Check out Goldendale Observatory. It boasts one of the largest public telescopes in the nation! It’s free. Just make sure to make a reservation.

Guest access
“Moonshine Hideaway “ is on private land of 20 wooded acres. Included are 9 other spacious sites. You are able to walk around the acreage along the gravel road, but please be respectful of other sites. It’s fully fenced with the only way in and out is the front entrance at this time except for our A-Frame Stargazers Hideaway which has its own private entry.
Please don’t go on neighbors property. Everyone here has No Trespassing and they are serious! Thanks for understanding.

Other things to note
This site has its own private shower and sink.
If Moonshine Hideaway is booked for the nights that you’re wanting, check out our other sites. If you poke on our picture on our profile all 10 of our sites will show up when you scroll down.

Neighborhood highlights

We absolutely love living out here! The neighbors are super friendly. It’s common for people to wave as they drive by. You’ll see on the main gravel road people driving ATVs at the speed limit, horseback riding and walking. It truly is a place to get away from it all.
You won’t find any road rage here. In fact the only traffic jam you might come across, which is rare, is a cattle drive. That’s fun to watch. Especially when small children are riding big horses to help out. I love
kids:) A 6 y/o little cowboy tipped his hat at me. That was so adorable!!

Here in our 20 beautiful wooded acres we have 10 spacious sites. Four large wall tents, all with king beds. Two A-frames with an expandable wall. Stargazer A-frame is larger and has more amenities. Two small tiny homes and two RVs that are hooked up with water and electricity with air-conditioning. If a site does not have a shower. There is one available in the common area along with the sink for brush, brushing teeth, washing dishes, etc..

Great location for friends and family gatherings!

We are 11 miles from Goldendale and two of those miles are down a gravel road. No traffic here at all. Keep your eyes peeled for deer and wild turkeys.

My husband Darreld and I love the outdoors! Darreld lived in Alaska for 13 years and I grew up in Kalispell Montana. We’ve only been married a few years and I’ve loved every minute! We purchased 20 raw acres in 2021. Darreld has built all the sites on his own and once we had a well he trenched water to the main sites. We love sharing our property with like minded people with the love of nature. Hope to see you out here soon!
