About this listing
The apartment is located in vibrant Nørrebro, close to several playgrounds as well as cafés, bars, shops and restaurants in one of Copenhagens most hyped streets.
Our place is perfect for families of four - five if you´re bringing smaller children.
Very well-equipped apartment with huge shared terrace - perfect for enjoying breakfast on summer mornings.
The 70 m2 apartment features a big New York-style living room/kitchen which is fully equipped, including espresso maker, dishwasher and wine cooler. And of course a dining table with a corner bench to enjoy dinner or relax in homey, cosy surroundings after a long day of taking in the city.
In the living area you can kick back in the couch, listening to music on the ipod/iphone-speaker or just taking advantage of the wifi which is available throughout the apartment.
In the big bathroom you´ll find both a washing machine and tumble dryer, so you don´t have to bring your entire wardrobe!
Besides the living room/kitchen there are two other rooms - in one our oldest child has a sofa bed and in the other, our youngest has a high bed, which would also easily sleep an adult. The couch in the living room is made of two comfy 200x90 beds.
- The apartment is situated in Nørrebro, a hip and multicultural area, which also houses many families with young children.
The area is also very well connected to the rest of Copehagen - the city centre is only 12 minutes away by bus which runs every 5th minute just 200 m from the apartment. The same bus will also take you directly to the airport in 50 minutes.
- Highlights in the immediate surroundings:
From the shared terrace there is a great view to "the red square", which lies adjacent to our apartment. The square, which has been drawn/designed by famous architect BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) and as you see on the photos is quite special.
In the vicinity of the apartment you will also find several playgrounds within walking distance - so if you´re bringing kids, there will be plenty to keep both younger and older children entertained, as you will find both swings, slides as well as basketball and skateboard tracks. And if you fancy an outdoor workout the red square has a few instruments for doing just that (and cafés where you can relax afterwards).
The area also features the street Jægersborggade which is probably the most hyped street in Copenhagen at the moment. Here you´ll find an array of shops, a superb bakery, a michelin-starred restaurant, a prize-winning coffee-shop and much more - all set in that young and vibrant Nørrebro-atmosphere.
Also in the vicinity is the Assistens Cemetery (the place where writer H C Andersen is buried) where the locals go to drink coffee, have a picnic, etc. You will also find several bars, a cinema and generally Nørrebro has something to offer everybody.
- A bit about ourselves:
We are a family of four, parents Mia and Andreas, Emma 6 and Billie who is 3 year old.
We´ve been living in Copenhagen for several years and would be more than happy to offer advice on what to see, where to go, and how to get there.
Hope to see you soon...
Public transport is literally just around the corner, with busses taking you to central Copenhagen, the main train station and the airport. Also the S-train station Nørrebro is a five-minute walk from the apartment.
No smoking allowed in the apartment, but on the terrace its not at problem.
