The Space

My house is located in Isumi, Chiba Prefecture (approx 100km east of Tokyo) and nestled in a unique, tranquil community in the forest. 10 min drive to surfing beaches too . I love the ocean and nature and keep a simple healthy lifestyle by surfing ( a lot ! ) and eating healthy (mainly vegetarian meals when cooking at home)

In the house, there is One Private Guest room (single bed) , one spare mattress in the guest room and one sofa bed in the living room so maximum occupancy is three people. Free WIFI in the house. No smoking allowed in the house. Shared bathroom and toilet.

Price for per person, per night is JPY5,000.
Price for two is JPY8,000.
Cost include linens, train station pick ups and possible tours and guide around the local community.

Payment is preferred Cash in Japanese Yen upon check in to minimize currency exchange rate and cut down on transaction fee( when using paypal system )

For those of you who would like meals included, i can prepare authentic and creative Japanese cuisine (also teach you some recipes ) for additional cost of JPY3,500 per person including breakfast and dinner

I try to eat healthy, locally, seasonally and practice a vegetarian, macrobiotic diet but can cater to your preference and also have experience managing cafes and organizing cooking classes so hope to offer some divine new taste !

My house is Located in Nakadaki Art Village, a unique setting in rural small farm village . 10 min by car to great surfing beaches and beautiful forests. 2hrs from Tokyo on the train .

Nakadaki Art Village is a hidden community with curry restaurant, cafe, bar, yoga stage,
bungalows for short stays, backpackers dormitories etc.

It is very remote and Nothing is in walking distance , the closest shop (grocery ) is 3km away so better off to have a car. Bicycles can be rented

Pick up from the nearest train station (JR Sotobo Line Chojamachi Station, 45 min walk ! ) can be arranged

Guide around the local community (organic farms and great macrobiotic cafe , but only opens up on Fri, Sat, Sun ) can also be arranged if I'm not too busy with work

Also, if you would like to refresh your body, I am a certified yoga teacher so private lessons can be arranged.

The rural farm village and the lush forest is a perfect getaway from the busy city (email hidden) for your soul and body.

  • Hiromi kindly picked me up at the station and served me a nice welcoming meal. The next day, she showed me around her community and took me to a nice vegan café. We had some nice talks and shared on a lot of topics. She was very insightful and helped me plan my trip in Japan. If you travel in wintertime, be aware though that the lovely house is not insulated and that there's not much to heat it. But there are plenty of blankets to keep you warm!

  • Hiromi's place is great! Her house is in the forest. It was very quiet.
I (email hidden) around 8:30pm. She welcomed me with smile.
She served me good dinner and breakfast(add to 3,000yen) She is good at vegetable dishes.
After dinner, we had good conversation. She loves surfing and nature. A lot of her friends gather in her house.
The living room is large and clean. My favoite place is the terrace.
I watched a lot of beautiful stars in the sky. It is good to read a book at the terrace too.
She is kind and outgoing,so the guests can enjoy taking.
    I recommend her place.

  • There was no better place than Hiromi's getaway in the Nakadaki Art Village. Her 'cottage' was very reminiscent of my own and I instantly felt at home the moment I stepped in the door. After an amazing (but very hectic) week and a half in Osaka and Tokyo this was the perfect getaway for my friends and I.

The serene environment was perfect for relaxing, but there was still plenty to go do and see around the village (and a curry restaurant no more than 15 seconds away!). Not to mention a beautiful trail to hike in the nearby forest. Hiromi was more than glad to pick us up from the train station, take us to the local grocery store, and some of her favourite landmarks close by during our stay. Last but not least my friends and I enjoyed our favourite meal of the trip while visiting, which was none other than Hiromi's incredible home cooking.

We can't thank her enough for allowing us to see a side of Japan we didn't know existed. She was extremely friendly from the moment we met and if I ever get the chance to visit again I wouldn't hesitate for a second to seize the opportunity.

    Thank you Hiromi!
