Very nice apartment, top floor. Great view from the terrace. Really liked our stay. Don't come here if you don't like stairs, but then, you should not come to the area anyway.

Excellent! An Absolute Diamond in the Rough! By Italian standards, this apartment is exceptionally spacious. If you are looking for Five Star comfort in The Five Villages, this is the ideal pied-à-terre to explore the coastline. With all the luminous windows, carrying a fresh sea breeze into every room, even those less inclined to tourism may simply create a relaxing vacation of this eagle's nest in Riomaggiore. The pictures do not do justice to the almost 360 degree views from the sprawling terrace which overlooks the quaint village. Breathtaking! Stunning! At night, because there are no cars, you are lulled into calm surrender by the murmuring social stratosphere of conversation and clinking forks below on the cobblestone and surrounding residences. Riomaggiore is one of the sleepier towns, though the jewelry boutiques and local shops will leave you wanting for nothing. During the day, you may choose to take an 8 minute walk down the hill to the periwinkle waters at the nape of the town, to find an ergonomic configuration of smooth pebbles to sunbathe. Then grab your goggles or snorkel and view the schools of tiny fish swimming just below the clear surf. With Portovenere, Portofino, and the remainder of the Five Villages all close by, you will be grateful you secured a space to come home to, where you can relax and re-coop for the next day's adventures. There is so much to see in this region. You need a place like this to regain your stamina, and perhaps craft a low-key caprese salad at home every so often. The laundry, WiFi, and versatile kitchen make creature comforts available to you that few Ligurian hotels can provide. Do not be discouraged by the incline. If you have small children, or are not athletically oriented, just take your time going up the hill. There is no rush. There are plenty of attractions to break up the walk, and it is really only about 12 minutes from the harbor to the front door. The benefit of living a bit up the hill is that you are able to feel more of the intimate local culture, and the views are worth the extra effort. There is also a longer but more flat panoramic walk from the train without going through the tunnel, if you are coming back from nightly attractions in the other villages. Although travelling by ferry during the day is best! Without hesitation, I would recommend this listing to friends and family. If you want to be completely blown away by the majestic natural beauty and warm antique character of the Five Villages, the smartest thing to do is to make this apartment your home base! Carolina is a super-attentive communicator, and fabulous guide. She was incredibly patient in answering my email queries, and the coordination with Simone, the local liaison, was very smooth and effortless. THANK YOU AGAIN CAROLINA! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! A great week in a beautiful apartment ! a great view !
Carolina is a great host. She gave us all informations needed.
We will go back there for sure.
We enjoyed very much our stay in Cinque Terre and felt very comfortable in Carolina`s nice maisonette apartment. The view from the terrace on the top level is gorgeous and Riomaggiore is a perfect base for trips to the Cinque Terre villages and the 'gulf of poets' (and even to Pisa). We would like to come back another time!
Carolina is a very communicative person and she was very cooperative, when there was need. In fact, there was a problem to solve because we traveled by car what is definitely not of use in Cinque Terre. It was quite some work to organize a parking space to rent in Riomaggiore. But Carolina and her manager Daniele did organize this for us too. Thanks a lot!
The highlight of this apartment was the view, which is difficult to beat in Riomaggiore. The apartment is located at a high point, and the steps were not a concern. The view can be appreciated from the 2 bedrooms and from the terrace.
Carolina was very flexible and communication was easy. We dealt with Simone who showed us the apartment and offered useful hiking tips and restaurant suggestions.
We were unlucky to have construction noise/dust from the apartment next door but this is temporary and it should not affect future guests. Carolina apologized immediately when she found out and offered compensation should we decide to go again.
We rented this apartment because of the roof top terrace. And the roof top terrace was fantastic with a great view of Riomaggiore which we enjoyed for many hours each evening. Carolina was very attentive to our questions and checked in with us regularly. Simone, her property manager was welcoming and made us feel comfortable. The apartment is very nice and well worth the climb of 51 steps to the top floor. Recognize that any town in Cinque Terre is full of early risers and you will find a little bit of heaven in this place.
I had a nice stay with my mom and aunt at Carolina's beautiful apartment in Riomaggiore. The view was beautiful and the patio was great for dinner and tea! The apartment was in a great location and we really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks!!
