Couldn't be happier with the experience of staying in this beautiful apartment. There are views in every room...even in the bathroom as you get ready you can enjoy the breezes and view of the sea!
We had two couples stay and it was very comfortable and clean.
Carolina was very attentive and helpful through the whole experience from booking all the way to check out. When we come back to Riomaggiore we would definitely stay here again! Thank you Carolina!
Beautiful apartment, gorgeous view. The pictures don't really do it justice—it's really breathtaking. We just had a wonderful stay in Riomaggiore, touring with our two boys around Cinque Terre. The apartment is perfectly located: close enough to town so that it's not too much of a walk, and far enough away from the town center so that noise from the nightlife on Friday and Saturday night won't keep you awake (if you shut the windows). We particularly loved the terrace on the roof, and had our evening wine and Campari up there every night. It says in the review that there are lots of stairs, and they aren't kidding! Be prepared for some climbing in this town!
Carolina and Mr. Simone were great hosts, very gracious and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
My partner and I had a wonderful time here. Carolina was very easy to contact and made it all very easy for us. Mr Simone met us when we arrived and helped with our luggage and showed us they way to the apartment and around the town, he is great. Everything was exactly as was described and we loved every minute of our time there. We will stay there again if we are ever in that area again. Oh I didnt mention the view.....WOW better than I had thought it would be. Thanks Carolina for having us. Lynne and John
Carolina communicated well prior to the trip and her in-country host/contact, Simone, provided information and comfort while we were there. He was helpful in many ways, from carrying our bags up the hill and stairs to the apartment after a 30-hour trip from the US, to answering questions about the area and solving housekeeping problems (only one - couldn't turn on the tv, which we really didn't mind!).
The best feature of the apartment is its "beautiful view." We enjoyed many hours on the deck, just taking it in for future retrieval. The apartment itself is well-maintained, with comfortable beds; all the equipment needed for meals, drying hair, plugging in cell-phones; lots of linens, a washing machine, and a clothes-line to remind us of how great air-dried clothes smell. A special touch was finding coffee, as well as other staples, in the cabinet so we didn't need to rush out our first very sleepy morning.
Perhaps a few words in the description about the WC being upstairs would be useful for people to know, particularly those of a certain age or pregnant. The stairs up to the apartment were expected, but a bit intimidating after the long flight.
Paradise in Italy! Thank you Carolina and family for allowing us to share your lovely home in this beautiful village of kind and upbeat people and amazing scenery. Unfortunately I don't think I will ever be able to top this vacation ;)
We stayed in this house 3 days and it was simply perfect. Caroline was very flexible, helpful and friendly during the prearrangements and our stay. Simone also was very helpful, he recommended us good restaurants and places to visit. The apartment is perfect with all the amenities you can ask for and of course the view from the terrace is amazing! After a long day of hiking, coming back and relax in the terrace was priceless. We recommend this apartment, you won't regret it. Only thing is the access, many stairs to get there but hey, you are going to 5Terre for hiking, so a little bit more of exercise wont hurt!
Thank you Caroline :)
We had a lovely stay in Riomaggiore at this great spacious flat with its wonderful view from the rooftop terrace. The apartment is generously stocked with books and games and plenty of extra towels and other things you might need which immediately made us feel at home. The kitchen was also great. For us, the many stairs to reach the apartment were good exercise and practice for walking up and down the surrounding hills.
Cinque Terre turned out to be rather crowded over Easter, which we hadn't factored in (silly us), with tourists swarming everywhere. We found the thing we most loved to do to escape the mayhem was to retreat to our rooftop terrace and relax on the lounge chairs with that view and listen to all the beautiful church bells ringing!
