The space
Situated on a spring-fed lake in the Big Springs Region of the Missouri Ozarks, Beaver Lake Guest House is a completely furnished house nestled in a pine grove on a 3,000 acre family preserve along Sinking Creek in Shannon County. Timber Farms, The Sinks is a working farm which includes a Shiitake Mushroom Log Operation (across the creek from the house) along with a permaculture vegetable garden and pasture/hay operation. Tours of the Mushroom Farm can be arranged with prior notice. The farm name comes from a geological formation on the property where the creek takes a short cut through a 400 foot limestone cave forming a natural bridge locally known as The Sinks.

The house is 24 miles south of Salem and 19 miles north of Eminence close to the Ozark National Scenic Riverways Current River area. The Nature Conservancy has designated the Big Springs area of the Missouri Ozarks as one of the Last Great Places.

Architect from St. Louis. We also use Airbnb often when traveling here in the U.S. or abroad. We enjoy sharing Timber Farms the Sinks with our guests and showing them around. We also enjoy sharing the 3rd floor apartment in our home in St. Louis in the beautiful Central West End Neighborhood. I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including biking, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and horseback riding likely as a result of having spent so much time at our family farm on the Ozarks. I also enjoy the wonderful urban amenities we now have in our own backyard in St. Louis including gastropubs, microbreweries, ethnic restaurants and boutique shopping all in our ethnically diverse, walk-able, bike-able neighborhood. We enjoy sharing all these experiences with our guests.
