Long hidden driveway up to the ultimate private getaway. Beautiful house on six acres with panoramic views of the Illinois River valley, and plenty of space inside and out. Wake up to a breathtaking sunrise from the deck, and feel the serenity as the barges pass by. As evening comes to a close, enjoy a drink and some s’mores by the fire pit and take in the tranquility of this country setting. Seriously, do yourself a favor and spend some time at this quiet, peaceful, one of a kind property!

The space
First floor has a large foyer, entertainment room, kitchen/ dining room, bedroom with a queen/full bunk, a full bathroom, and a laundry room with washer and dryer.
Second floor has a master bedroom with a full bathroom, a hallway twin bed, and a queen bedroom with an outdoor deck.

Guest access
You will have the six acres and cabin to yourself.

Other things to note
This is a secluded cabin in the woods, up on a river bluff that sits on six acres. The driveway is gravel, long and winding up through the woods until you reach the top. We take pride in keeping the cabin very clean, and even though we have pest control set up quarterly, there could be an occasional bug that makes it’s way in…this is a cabin in the woods. Make sure you are ok with these scenarios or ask questions before booking. Thank you!!!

Neighborhood highlights

Cabin is situated out in the country about 20 min from Pittsfield Illinois. Pittsfield is a neat farm town and has everything you will need in case you forget something or need anything. Pittsfield also has a Yogi Bears Jellystone park, and is said to be one of the best in the country.
Harpole’s Heartland Lodge and ATV park is also nearby, about 20 min from the cabin.
If you decide to venture out a little farther, Grafton is a town about 45 min south. It is a really neat area with nice restaurants, bars, a winery, and shops directly along the river bank.

- Hannibal Mo is about 40 min
- Springfield is about an hour
- St. Louis is about 1 1/2 hours
