Modest, inexpensive suite in a great location for those looking to explore East Van.
Linda has been a great host. She made us feel very welcome and recommended us stores to buy food and told us about her favourite restaurants nearby. There's a great local supermarket just one block away that has just about everything one could ever need. The express bus to Downtown Vancouver leaves just across the street and takes about 15 minutes to get there.
The apartment is indeed very clean. It is newly renovated with a nice, modern bathroom, and a kitchen ready to use. There's even a real painting on the wall. The bed was comfortable and the room No3 is quiet. It can get a little hot in summer though.
Linda could also help us finding a long-term apartment in Vancouver and even helped us move there after our stay. She was always friendly and helpful.
This is the second time I've booked with Linda, I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great value place in Vancouver - the location is ideal for transit access and it feels safe and comfortable.
Linda was a wonderful host. She met me upon arrival, showed me the apartment and gave me great information about where to eat and shop nearby. The apartment is a small studio, as described. The bed was comfortable and clean. The building is undergoing some repairs but it did not in any way cause excessive noise or any problem at all. Vancouver is a lovely city - just as I remembered it.
I stayed in suite number 5 for a month. This place is appropriate for travelers looking for independence. It is easy to get to downtown using public transit.
I believe that suite number 5 is superior to the other suites because it has more windows.
Suites can get hot on warmer days.
It was a great experience and great hospitality!
