Guest Access

The building doesn't have any shared space or amenities, however, you will have full access to everything inside the apartment.

Interaction with Guests

Since you will be booking the entire apartment, we won't be on site during your stay. However, we do meet up with you to check you in, and we make ourselves very available via phone and email if you encounter any problems. On occasion, due to work schedules, or traveling, we may not be the ones to meet up for the check-in, but we have trusted friends who will meet you in our place.

The Neighborhood

The apartment is centrally located in Nob Hill., a short walk (less than 1mile) from:

* China Town
* Grace Cathedral
* Union Square
* Polk St. bars, restaurants and nightlife
* Lafayette Park (free outdoor tennis)
* Lombard St.

A slightly further walk (1-2 miles) to the following locations:
* North Beach
* China Town
* Fisherman's Wharf
* Ferry Building
* Financial District
* BART

The best thing about the neighborhood is it is safe to walk around at night, unlike some neighborhoods so close to downtown and many bus lines and cable car lines within 1 min.

Getting around

The apartment is close to multiple forms of public transportation due to its central location within the city.

If you have specific questions about how to get around, please send us an inquiry, and we are happy to provide guidance about how best to get around given your specific requirements.

Other Things to Note

As a bonus, we include two passes for unlimited rides on the Muni around the city with your booking. Muni is the public bus system in the city of San Francisco. This doesn't include BART, but it does include the cable cars. Which is particularly great since you are right by two cable car lines - the Hyde car takes you to Ghirardelli Square and the California car takes you downtown with iconic views of the city.

  • Sina and Cata, were great Host. Well organized and communicative.

    Unfortunately we didn't meet them during our stay, but their fiend Breno was very helpful and friendly while checking us in.

    The Apartment is quite, clean and spacious and has everything you need for your stay ( Basic Cooking Supplies etc ), the bed was very comfortable and huge.

    The Apartment was very centrally located near a lot of Restaurants and Supermarket, the complimentary MUNI passes were very much appreciated.

    All in all I would recommend this Apartment as a convenient base for you SF stay.

    Thanks Very much.

  • Sina and Cata were great hosts. They were very helpful prior to our arrival, providing my friend and I with lots of information about San Francisco and answering any questions that we had promptly. They were also flexible with our check in and check out times which was great as we had a ridiculously early morning flight. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet them during our stay, but their friend Breno, was very helpful and friendly while checking us in. The apartment was clean and very spacious. Very similar to the photos. The bed is huge and very comfy. Bathroom is old but everything works fine and is very clean. We didn't really use the kitchen during our stay but it did have everything we might need in it. The location was great for us (only a 10 minute tram ride to fisherman's wharf). There are many great restaurants on Polk St which is in walking distance. Its not the best place for someone with mobility issues as there are a lot of hills on the surrounding streets but it was not a bother for us. We had a few issues with the wifi when we first arrived but we managed to sort it out. The clipper cards were a fantastic added bonus. They were very convenient for getting around San Francisco using public transport. I would definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in San Francisco.

  • Sina and Cata were great hosts – very friendly, well-organised and communicative. The apartment is quiet, clean, spacious and has everything you need for your stay (iron, basic cooking supplies, hair dryer, etc). I loved the bed, which was huge and super comfy. The included Muni passes were excellent as well. While the apartment is in a central location close to many restaurants and bars, it was nice to be able to take the cable cars and buses to skip walking up some of the steeper hills. Overall, a great experience in an amazing city! I would definitely stay here again.

  • Asolutely loved this apartment in San Francisco. Great location to many shops, bars, restaurants and transport. Would definitely stay here again in the future if i travel back to S/F. Apartment was very clean and spacious, and had everything you would need in the kitchen. The 2 MUNI passes came in very handy as we used public transport every day.
    Thanks very much.

  • I stayed at Sina and Cata's place while I was in San Francisco for a conference. It is a very comfortable apartment, and the bed is comfy with nice pillows. They had everything I needed, including an iron and ironing board. There is a Trader Joe's just one block away so I was able to get things I needed for my stay.

  • My wife, 18 month son and I stayed at this apartment back in December. We had some initial disappointments due to set expectations but the hosts responded quickly and were generous in alleviated them. The apartment doesn't really have any view but its location is fantastic with walking distance to most places and great near by facilities. The travel passes were a great bonus.

  • Great space in a great location. Very convenient if you are at conference at Masonic Center. The Muni Pass was also useful to get me up the hill on the trolleys. Hip coffee shop around the corner that opens at 6:30am on weekdays.

  • In short, this is a centrally-located, clean, well-appointed though dated one-bedroom apartment with really nice, attentive, helpful hosts. Recommended for single or couple without a car for whom the cons below are no problem.

    PROs: Hosts are a very nice young couple who are considerate, helpful, and responsive, and have provided pretty much whatever an air bnb-er might need. We notified them of a faucet problem and our handy hostess appeared that day to install a new faucet in the kitchen. We all had a bit of fun with the plumbing repairs.
    As I’ve said in earlier reviews, the best thing about Air BnB are the people, and this was no exception!

    Should visiting bnb-ers be younger than we are and able to deal with the issues mentioned that were problems for us, and have no car to park, it’s a great location we highly recommend, especially for singles, a couple or even a single/couple with a baby or toddler. If you plan to use public transportation or taxi/uber, etc., this is a great location. Apartment is on first floor up an easy 3 stairs. The hosts nicely provide Muni passes, along with maps and info on local restaurants and things to do/see.

    Location is central, very near to many restaurants, clubs, and other neat SFO things, including a Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods, cable cars outside the door, etc.

    Shower has attached hand shower. There are plenty of shelves in the bathroom for two people to put their stuff. Plenty of towels, bedding, etc.

    Apartment is very clean and well cared for, even though dated—Freshly painted and decorated nicely, kitchen well outfitted well and simple staples provided (sugar, salt & pepper, vinegar & oil, etc.)

    Pack & play type baby bed & booster available.

    CONs: Location, while conveniently located, is on a hill with nearest parking a couple of blocks downhill on Sacramento. (Only a problem if you are like me, older and a bit physically challenged). We were going back and forth to/from Marin and touring areas in South Bay, East Bay, and other places, so we needed the car—it was a drag here. Caveat: We are a couple in our 70s, with various knee and back issues, so YMMV.

    Property is very dated. Old toilet is very low and there is nothing to grab onto nearby, so if you have knee problems you might dread using it. We put a kitchen chair in front.
    Shower tub has old-style sliding doors that are balky.
    Washer & dryer is downstairs in the basement. We didn’t need it, but it is available, albeit in the basement.
    Heat doesn’t work too well—not a problem unless it’s pretty cold.
    Probably not for the ancient traveler ;-).
    For the young and hearty--it's just fine.

  • I was guest at this place for about 10 days recently. Here's some feedback:

    Cat helped me with the check in. She is very flexible with the time.

    The apartment itself is in a great location with easy access to the 1 Muni and other lines. It's right off a main street with restaurants and shops and groceries which made it very convenient. The location is superb.

    The apartment itself was spacious and clean. While it pretty much had the basic necessities you need, it didn't feel very homely. They provided everything you need, but it didn't feel like a home. If you are someone who watches ESPN regularly or likes cable TV, the cable service there does not have good channels. The wi-fi worked well.

    I have some issues with the TV and heat and Sina showed up right away to help me so that was excellent service!

    I had a great experience overall and would recommend this place.

  • Sina and Cata were amazing hosts! The process was seamless. Everything was agreed upon and sorted out before I even arrived. I would recommend their place to anybody looking for a place in a conveniently located area in the city.
