* All prices are subject to change without notice prior to booking.
The building doesn't have any shared space or amenities, however, you will have full access to everything inside the apartment.
Interaction with Guests
Since you will be booking the entire apartment, we won't be on site during your stay. However, we do meet up with you to check you in, and we make ourselves very available via phone and email if you encounter any problems. On occasion, due to work schedules, or traveling, we may not be the ones to meet up for the check-in, but we have trusted friends who will meet you in our place.
The apartment is centrally located in Nob Hill., a short walk (less than 1mile) from:
* China Town
* Grace Cathedral
* Union Square
* Polk St. bars, restaurants and nightlife
* Lafayette Park (free outdoor tennis)
* Lombard St.
A slightly further walk (1-2 miles) to the following locations:
* North Beach
* China Town
* Fisherman's Wharf
* Ferry Building
* Financial District
The best thing about the neighborhood is it is safe to walk around at night, unlike some neighborhoods so close to downtown and many bus lines and cable car lines within 1 min.
The apartment is close to multiple forms of public transportation due to its central location within the city.
If you have specific questions about how to get around, please send us an inquiry, and we are happy to provide guidance about how best to get around given your specific requirements.
Other Things to Note
As a bonus, we include two passes for unlimited rides on the Muni around the city with your booking. Muni is the public bus system in the city of San Francisco. This doesn't include BART, but it does include the cable cars. Which is particularly great since you are right by two cable car lines - the Hyde car takes you to Ghirardelli Square and the California car takes you downtown with iconic views of the city.
Please: No smoking (not even out the window). No pets. No shoes inside (cities are dirty, but I want to create a clean sanctuary for you)
Keep the noise down at night. I've never gotten complaints from my neighbor, but this is an apartment, not a hotel.
Clean the kitchen appliances shortly after you use them.
Do not host events/parties/ or overnights in the apartment.
Otherwise, consider me a friend, and just treat my home accordingly... :)
This comfortable couch also serves as an additional bed once you take off the pillows (twin-size)
Cata and Sina were fabulous! As hosts, they communicated clearly, quickly, and professionally. They were kind and pleasant at all times.
Cata wasn't able to meet us for the check-in, but had a friend meet us. Right after the check-in, we had an email waiting for us from Cata, wanting to know if everything had gone smoothly. She was very on top of things, and we could tell that she wanted to make sure we were taken care of.
The apartment is just like the pictures and description. It was in a great location! We would often Uber or have a friend drive us around, so we didn't use the MUNI passes (Uber fare to most areas was around $15 (with 1.4 surge pricing)). Cata even had a manual for us with tons of suggestions for our stay (we used a few of them and were glad we did!) - so great!
For reference to future travelers, this is about a $40 taxi to or from SFO. We also found that BART was convenient to use.
Overall, this was a wonderful experience and we would stay here again!
Cata greeted us, showed us around...and made us feel welcome! The apartment was in a great location for us...and we made good use of the trolley passes. We had a great time...thanks Cata!
This is such an amazing location!! It's on a safe quiet street right next to a Trader Joe's and an easy 5-7 min walk to so many great restaurants on Polk St. The apartment itself is very simple but has everything you'd need! The lower nob hill location is unbeatable! Sina personally met us to check us in and spent a very generous amount of time explaining how to get around the city and giving us his picks! The muni passes are an awesome bonus- the trolley and bus stops are right outside! We actually ended up taking Uber everywhere we went bc it was so cheap in San Fran... Highly recommend this place!
The apartment is in a great location, easy to walk downtown, and the Muni Pass was a great bonus. It was very comfortable, clean, bright and airy. The main issue was the toilet blocking and needing to be plunged on a daily basis, and the noise from the upstairs apartment, heavy footsteps, things being dropped on the floor, and voices and noises from the bathroom. I spoke to one of the owners prior to leaving and expect the toilet issue to be resolved.
The Host did not meet us but she made sure someone was right there to let us in and show us the ropes. The apartment was quite spacious and well laid out. The location is on the edge of Nob Hill very close to some great areas and only a walk to most of the great spots in the city. We were provided with transportation passes and good information about the neighborhood.
On the down side for us was the building itself is a bit tired, common areas not great, noises and odors are prevalent but do not penetrate the apartment. The noise of people overhead is loud and they got rolling early like 5:30 am. Of course we are not city dwellers so we were probably a little more sensitive to this fact. The neighborhood itself is right on the edge of sketchy and we encountered several characters that made us nervous although we were not really threatened and the building is very secure.
Cata was very proactive and through making sure we were able to get to her place from the airport with ease. The neighborhood is charming with a lot of neat restaurants and bars. The hills though - Bring your walking shoes / boots :D
Good hosts, great location. Cata and Sinha are attentive hosts. The apartment had everything as advertised and all amenities were working. The location is extremely convenient. There is a Trader Joes and Whole Foods in walking distance and the trolley take you right to town. Easy walk to financial district and Market Street.
