Deirdre was so sweet and hospitable. She brought us milk for our coffee this morning and then brought us fresh baked scones with marmalade, fruit with yogurt, and cheese. Also, she had Seinfeld on dvd. What a great way to end our vacation. The place was really cute and cozy. We could really tell that she really cares for her guests comfort.
Deirdre was really sweet throughout our stay and even greeted us with warm muffins and snacks in the morning! The apartment had everything you could ask for, and was situated in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Would love to return to this place if I ever have the opportunity to visit Eugene, OR again - thanks Deirdre!
This was a great place to stay! This place has everything you could possibly ask for. Great, clean quaint home near UO. Nice quiet neighborhood and Deirdre was a great host!
This was my first airbnb and it certainly won't be my last! I don't think I will ever stay in a hotel again! The apartment far exceeded my expectations - I did not expect such detail. It was immaculate and had a really cozy, yet fresh feel. The lovely touches like fresh milk in the fridge and filtered water - and REAL coffee which I think was the best I have had in a long time. There is everything you need there - and more. I had read in other reviews about Deirdre's breakfast and I have to say, the scones were absolutely amazing. I was going to ask for the recipe and forgot! The jams were gorgeous and so were the fruit and cheese.
I am going back in June to bring my daughter back from the U of O to California and hopefully will be booking here again.
Deirdre is a perfect host - not intrusive but really helpful and accommodating. If you are in the Eugene area, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. A couple of miles at most away from the town and in a really lovely neighborhood - very quiet and safe.
The Apt. was comfy and homey as I expected. I enjoyed my stay here, it was nice and quiet. I unfortunately didn't get to meet Deirdre because of my odd schedule while I was in Eugene, but I did get to meet Howard and he was very helpful and nice when I checked in. I definitely made my stay.
About the Host, Deirdre
I like living in Oregon. Raised our family here. Love the outdoors. Have an organic garden and a home based business. We do lots of cooking and take a casual approach to living and traveling. Like independence when traveling and would enjoy like minded travelers. Am willing to accomodate to visitors but not fuss over.
