  • Deirdre was a great host! Her studio was so inviting- so much light and an incredibly comfortable bed. There was even a little private deck to sit and read on. We had a great time in Eugene. In the morning Deirdre brought us homemade muffins and fruit- such a wonderful touch, and so delicious!

  • Deirdre was an excellent host! The room, and everything within were exactly as advertised. The location was absolutely perfect as well, especially if you are trying to get the organic feel for Eugene. She was super helpful, and tried to go out of her way to help me with things to do, how to get places, etc. I would absolutely stay here again. I wish I had not had so much to do, and could have relaxed at the place more...thats just how nice it was!

  • My stay here was fantastic! Deirdre and Howard were very accommodating and understanding of my needs. The room itself was beautiful and clean. Having the kitchenette was very useful, especially for my coffee addiction. Howard cooked me waffles and fresh fruit for my first morning there and they were delightful!

  • Deirdre is very nice and provided good information about the area. She also gave me the space to do my own thing, which I very much appreciated.

This is a wonderfully peaceful place to stay in a convenient location. I highly recommend staying here.

  • This was a great place to stay. The location was near down town, in a quiet neighborhood. Deirdre and Howard were very nice hosts; friendly, helpful and gave us plenty of privacy. The space was cute, clean and had everything we needed. Deirdre also made us some incredible scones the first morning of our stay. I would definitely recommend this place.

  • Deirdre was an excellent host. The apartment is bursting with nice little touches, it's obvious she put a lot of love into it. Parking was a non-issue, the neighborhood is really quiet (but convenient to the more happening parts of town)

  • This studio was impeccably clean, bright and comfortable and was equipped in the most thoughtful and considerate way: coffee and teas, a great, basic kitchen, maps of the region, shampoo, dvds, even a couple of ponchos and an umbrella to borrow. The batch of delicious homemade muffins and fruit salad that Deirdre made on our first morning, plus some special books and crayons to help us entertain our toddler went above and beyond! A great haven.

    Response from Deirdre:

Thank you for the nice review with the details. I am a down pillow lover myself, it is supposed to be more supportive for your neck. I agree it would probably be a good option in the studio. I know people get very attached to their pillow. Some people even travel with their favorite pillow. It is such a personal thing. I know a person who does Alexander Technique and is very good at it who once told me she loves the pillows in hotels. I was very surprised since this was counter to the belief of any other body worker.
Could probably go on about pillows forever.

  • This was a bright, airy and very comfortable spot near the UofO. I enjoyed staying here and Deirdre was a lovely host and even provided freshly baked muffins and fruit to welcome us! Thank you!

I like living in Oregon. Raised our family here. Love the outdoors. Have an organic garden and a home based business. We do lots of cooking and take a casual approach to living and traveling. Like independence when traveling and would enjoy like minded travelers. Am willing to accomodate to visitors but not fuss over.
