The Neighborhood

Convenience convenience convenience !
8 subway lines within two blocks radio ( F-V-C-E-R-Q-1-3), two supermarkets within one block ( Wholefoods and Fairway), Madison Sq. Park, great coffee places within one block, dozens of international food restaurants, the elevated park The Highline within few blocks, Chelsea Market, Union Square, Flat Iron Building, Empire State within 10 min walk, Penn Station-10 min walk.

Getting around

8 subway lines within two blocks radio ( F-V-C-E-R-Q-1-3)

Other Things to Note

We prefer to have just one guest unless is accompanied by a child.
There is a $35 surcharge fee for a second adult guest, but the acceptance is case by case as we prefer to have one person only in the apartment

If the adult has a child the additional fee of $35 doesn't apply. The apartment is not very conducive for very small children, as there is a lot of art in the apartment and also the stairway and the balcony are not very safe for a child that is not used to this setting. We prefer that if any children, they should be above seven years old.

  • Asher was very warm and accommodating. He ensured that I enjoyed my stay in NYC by extending an invitation to an event and even by giving pointers on things to see in the city and the best routes to get there. The apartment is amazing and quintessentially contemporary, artsy and New York. The neighborhood is conveniently located near the Flat Iron Building and Madison Park, making it easy to get anywhere around the city. My room was clean and comfortable and I would definitely stay again.

  • One of the best decisions I've made regarding my trip to NYC was to stay at Asher's loft.
The place is beautiful, the room is very big, the location is excellent and the hosts are very nice and warm.

  • Fantastic apartment in a great location. I stayed at Asher's apartment while over for business. It was super convenient for work (Flatiron) and a perfect jumping off point for getting anywhere else in the city. Soho & West Village are a short cab ride away. Walking distance to Chelsea & Meatpacking, while Williamsburg is 20 minutes on the subway.

The apartment itself is spacious and the bedroom / bathroom afford a decent level of privacy. I would highly recommend Asher's place to anyone staying in NY. Hope to be back soon.

  • Stayin at Asher's Guest Room in his Art Loft in Chelsea really does feel like you are sleeping in an art gallery. The space is massively spacious, with artwork that meets these proportions. There is a beautiful juxtaposition between the massive ground floor gallery and the quaint charm of the living room/study area upstairs. The kitchen is quite large and industrial. What the space lacks in warmth it makes up for in personality. The location is incredibly central, and is a nice cross section between being close to midtown, but also close to the Village. The exact street its on isn't the most memorable, but just a few blocks away, you will be strolling down the Chelsea streets passing by galleries. Asher is an awesome host that I wish I could have spent more time with. We only met once, but I would love to meet him again when I am in NY. I can tell he has the taste and curation of an artist.

  • Asher and his family have an amazing space at the heart of SoHo - beautifully decorated with classic and contemporary artwork. The place is massive yet the room offered is comfortable and great for guests to use as they would like. Walking distance to Whole Foods, great bars, Soho shopping and transportation. Asher himself was incredibly helpful and his family was great to stay with. Highly recommended, I wouldn't miss a chance to stay here again.

  • My daughter and I loved our stay with Asher and his family. They were very gracious. They took time to help us with our plans in the city. The location was fabulous! We were able to walk many places and it was close to the subway as well. The loft was beautiful and spacious and we felt very welcome. We will definitely stay there again when in New York. Thank you!

    Response from Asher:

Reservation was canceled because the host had an emergency in his apartment and water and gas had to be shut-off for few days.
