Other Things to Note
If the booking is for one adult and a minor, we can waive the additional fee of $20. The apartment is not very conducive for very small children, there is a lot of art in the apartment and also the stairway and the balcony are not very safe for a child that is not used to this setting. We prefer that if any children, they should be above seven years old.
There is WiFi in the apartment, we are a family with two 11 year old boys. My partner and I are in the art/ theater world. We have a small dog Ralph, (schnoodle) which is extremely friendly. We require you that you are respectful, quiet and clean. We also request that guests don't bring people to the apartment without first consulting it with us.
There is washer and dryer if you need to wash clothing. There is refrigerator where you can put food that you buy.
For security reasons and since we have children and valuable art in the apartment, there is a guest registration to be filled out, address and other info upon coming into the apartment.
We loved our stay with Asher and his family. He met us at our agreed time and give us very detailed instructions on how to use everything. The kids are very polite and quiet. Asher even arranged for us to see a show at 54Below - we wouldn't have known about the upscale cabaret space if we have stayed in a hotel.
The bedroom and bathroom were a lot bigger than the more expensive room we paid for before. The loft space was open and airy and totally awesome. The dog Ralph was very quiet and friendly. We will come back to stay with them again!
I really enjoyed my stay with Marc and Asher. They have a great place in a perfect location and I felt very comfortable.
I had a great stay at Asher and Marc's place. It is a great space and in a very central location. They were both very kind in offering suggestions of what I'd like to do and spent a lot of time helping me personalise my stay. The apartment is just as it looks in the pictures (stunning), the bedroom is really comfortable and I loved being in the library in the evenings to catch up with friends and family. I'd definitely recommend staying here. Thanks!
Wonderful experience staying at Asher and Mark's place in Chelsea for 2 nights. Exactly as pictured, great location, warm welcome and good conversation and tips about the neighborhood and restaurants and things to do. And most importantly, a super comfortable bed, quiet environment, and great water pressure in the shower -- will definitely stay there again when I am back in NYC. Thank you Asher and Mark!
Our stay with Asher and his family was absolutely brilliant. Asher was really helpful and gave us great advice on what kind of places to visit and how to get there. We felt really comfortable and the room was awesome and had everything you could need. Also, the location of the apartment is brilliant, really close to things like Madison Square Park and we had easy access to subway stops too. We would definitely recommend staying here!

I'm originally from Colombia, but have been living in NY for over twenty years, and have also lived in Europe and Asia. I am fluent in Spanish, English and Italian, understand basic French. I live with my husband Marc who is a theater producer and also co-owns several restaurants and entertainment places, such 54 below, a nightclub Broadway cabaret. We live with our two 13 year old sons and Ralph our little schnooddle dog who is extremely quiet and friendly.
We are experienced travelers, spend long periods particularly in China but also elsewhere. We enjoy to entertain, regularly host events in our space, piano recitals, art events, art dinners, benefits, our place is a bit like Auntie Mame, I work from home therefore during the day there are artists that come by, if you are someone very fussy about things, this may not be the right space for you. We love to use airbnb for the good quality of people we get to meet, we are looking to host creative interesting individuals that appreciate the opportunity of being at a unique place in New York; it is not a hotel and we expect you don't treat it like that, it is a memorable experience and that's what we offer.
