Other Things to Note
If the booking is for one adult and a minor, we can waive the additional fee of $20. The apartment is not very conducive for very small children, there is a lot of art in the apartment and also the stairway and the balcony are not very safe for a child that is not used to this setting. We prefer that if any children, they should be above seven years old.
There is WiFi in the apartment, we are a family with two 11 year old boys. My partner and I are in the art/ theater world. We have a small dog Ralph, (schnoodle) which is extremely friendly. We require you that you are respectful, quiet and clean. We also request that guests don't bring people to the apartment without first consulting it with us.
There is washer and dryer if you need to wash clothing. There is refrigerator where you can put food that you buy.
For security reasons and since we have children and valuable art in the apartment, there is a guest registration to be filled out, address and other info upon coming into the apartment.
Asher made us feel very welcome right away. He showed us around the house (which is a very spacious, artsy and cute loft!), kitchen and gave us the keys. We had a very comfortable room and bed, fresh towels and access to coffee. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely consider staying there again. Thank you!
Staying with Asher and his family is an experience by itself. You get immersed into a truly cultural and artistic atmosphere and, although we didn’t spend much time in the apartment, we could enjoy some very interesting conversations.
The loft is simply stunning. Both the loft and the bedroom are gorgeous, spacious, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet.
As a traveler, this place is very conveniently located within walking distance of many tourist attractions. In any case, the subway is very close. Asher is a great host. He is very warm and generous and did everything he could so we could enjoy a great experience in NY. He gave us a lot of great advices and invaluable information.
How I wish I could go back soon.
Staying with Asher and family was such a quaility experience. ON arrival, I was calmly and warmly greeted by Raplh the dog who sat patiently ready to greet me then Asher who is a most gracious and generous host.
The whole family provide a lovely balance of contact and privacy so that you feel like you are getting the benefits of family hospitality without any of the obligation.
The apartment set up is perfect for guests who have the upper floor pretty well to themselves, with large and comfortable (email hidden)e bedroom is spacious, comfortable , clean and quiet with little added extras which make your stay all the nicer.
I loved the option to use the apartment laundry facilities which are conveniently on the same level as the guest space, as is the kitchen.
I felt very welcome, cared for and comfortable. Asher and the rest of the family did everything they could to ensure I had a wonderful week in this very central location.
A wonderful experience with generous hosts and a perfect environment. Highly recommended.
We really enjoyed staying with Asher and Mark. The place is very spacious for a Manhattan loft and the art is pretty outstanding. We had a comfortable bed, great shower and could cook for ourselves in a large kitchen.
Asher was very attentive and there to meet us as well as taking the time to show us around, recommend restaurants and cafes. We sat around in the evening and had some great conversation although we also had the opportunity to just stick to ourselves, it was left up to us, non-imposing and the interaction was relaxed and natural. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of.
We are regular AirBnB'ers and we'll be back to stay with Asher and Mark as soon as we get an opportunity to do so.
