About this listing
Guest room in art loft in Chelsea. This listing is just for the guest room not the whole apartment. The hot water problem we recently had is already fixed. If you are interested in the entire apartment, it is available for the month of July and August. Pls see the other listing for the whole apartment here under my name.
The bedroom is in a large duplex loft in Manhattan/ Chelsea area next to Madison Square Park and few blocks from Empire State building.
The room is located in the back of the apartment therefore is very quiet. The apartment has three full baths one of them located next to the guest bedroom is for the guests staying in the apartment but it is not totally private as it is adjacent to the family room/ library in the pictures.
There is a key elevator that opens directly in to the apartment.
Yes of course towels, linens, toiletries ( soap, shampoo, toilet paper ) are provided; even toothbrush and toothpaste if you need. You are more than welcome to use the refrigerator and use the dishes and utensils if you bring ready made food to eat. For safety reasons, we prefer that there is no cooking involved due that some people have left the gas burner on and left the apartment for the day. There is a coffee maker in the apartment which you can use.
While anyone who expresses interest in this listing will receive the courtesy of a response, but Airbnb users who have a completed profile (with a Clear photo of you and information about who you are in your profile and/or message), and a stated reason for travel in your message (including info about those who are traveling with you, if any) will make the process of a potential booking significantly easier, since we don't have to go back and forth with emails.

Other Things to Note
If the booking is for one adult and a minor, we can waive the additional fee of $20. The apartment is not very conducive for very small children, there is a lot of art in the apartment and also the stairway and the balcony are not very safe for a child that is not used to this setting. We prefer that if any children, they should be above seven years old. We have 13 y.o twin boys and a schnoodle dog.
There is WiFi in the apartment, we are a family with two 13 year old boys. My husband and I are in the art & theater world. We have a small dog Ralph, (schnoodle) which is extremely friendly. We require you that you are quiet and clean. We also request that guests don't bring people to the apartment without first consulting it with us. We actually prefer that not guess other than the registered ones come to visit.
There is washer and dryer if you need to wash clothing. There is refrigerator where you can put food that you buy. We prefer that you don't cook in the apartment other than breakfast or already prepared food that you bring in.
For security reasons and since we have children and valuable art in the apartment, there is a guest registration to be filled out, address and other info upon coming into the apartment.
We also prefer that you have already reviews by other hosts before you can book in our place.

We are experienced travelers, spend long periods particularly in China but also elsewhere. We enjoy to entertain, regularly host events in our space, piano recitals, art events, art dinners, benefits, our place is a bit like Auntie Mame, I work from home therefore during the day there are artists that come by, it's a real NY experience but its not for everyone.
