This is a lovely place to stay halfway between an apartment and a hotel room.
Sausalito is a great place to spend a night...or a few decades (I came here for three months from NYC...twenty-five years ago).
If you're visiting San Francisco, this little village is right on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge...a charming alternative to big city hotels.
It's a convenient HQ for trips to SF with easy access to the California Coast and the Wine Country.
Nightly rates range from $99 for isolated single dates to $200 for holidays.
This recently renovated modern unit is like a luxurious hotel suite:
A separate bedroom and closet behind french doors (shown open and closed in the photos) with a comfy queen-size bed (and an iron & ironing board).
A living area with a beautiful sectional, gas fireplace (ignited by a remote).
There's a small dining area and breakfast bar.
Bathroom with Jacuzzi tub (with a European-style hand-held shower head, not one mounted on the wall), bathroom sundries and separate WC.
It also has a big screen TV (with cable) and DVD player in the main room and a second little TV/VHR/Cable in the bedroom, as well as WiFi.
There is no kitchen, but there is a mini-fridge, washer/dryer, microwave, coffee machine, coffee & tea, popcorn, condiments, serving supplies, and a private patio.
It is one beautiful floor, approximately 650 square feet, with an entrance off its own patio (with two tables). There's no lucious landscaping or pool, just a restful and private enclave.
I do my best to juggle the check-in and check-out time needs of the Guests, looking for a compromise between them to allow enough time for a thorough cleaning.
It's a half-block off Bridgeway (Sausalito's main drag), five stoplights to Highway 101 (five minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge and less than an hour from the wine country) with a bus stop at the corner and off-street parking. A private driveway leads to your front door (if you don't have a low-slung car like I do). It's within walking distance of the Post Office, Grocery, Banks and Restaurants. Just minutes from SF by car or ferry, it's a great getaway.

better then pictures ! go see!!!!
Had a nice stay at Joseph's suite for an anniversary weekend. It met our needs and was central to everything we planned to explore in Sausalito. He was very easy to communicate with and it was a breeze to check in and out. The suite is very cozy and nicely appointed, but could definitely use a deep clean. It's also worth mentioning that there was a fair amount of noise from upstairs at night, lots of moving about. All in all, we had a nice time and felt at home during our stay.
My boyfriend and I had a great stay here. Everything went very smooth and he has a binder full of directions. It's only 20 minutes driving to the city. We would stay again if we come back!
Beautiful and relaxing place. Joseph is the easiest person to work with and has a warm and opem heart, including accommodating an extra night on last minute notice. Have fallen in love with being here!
Joseph was incredibly accommodating, helpful and communicative! The place was in a great location, easy to find and very competitive with anything else you could find in the area. We had a great time!
Great host, check out Sushi ran if you are in the area.
Thank you for comfortable stay! I enjoyed the fire place and the jazz channel on TV.
Fabulous apartment, ideal location and blessedly serene!
Great host!!! Very nice, great communication, and a lovely place to stay. Absolutely recommend. :)

WOW, what can I say...This is so lovely place, I mean Sausalito, apartment, Joseph...Everything was like in dream. Calm, safe !!, fresh.
Parking has never been a problem. Fast internet connection. Mini fridge, fire place. Just seat in the backyard and breath a fresh air..
Public transport stop was 70 meters from the apartment. We preferred the car. 10-15 min drive to the large Safeway (grocery).
Everything was flawless.
Thank you Joseph for making us feel home!
