This is a lovely place to stay halfway between an apartment and a hotel room.
Sausalito is a great place to spend a night...or a few decades (I came here for three months from NYC...twenty-five years ago).
If you're visiting San Francisco, this little village is right on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge...a charming alternative to big city hotels.
It's a convenient HQ for trips to SF with easy access to the California Coast and the Wine Country.
Nightly rates range from $99 for isolated single dates to $200 for holidays.
This recently renovated modern unit is like a luxurious hotel suite:
A separate bedroom and closet behind french doors (shown open and closed in the photos) with a comfy queen-size bed (and an iron & ironing board).
A living area with a beautiful sectional, gas fireplace (ignited by a remote).
There's a small dining area and breakfast bar.
Bathroom with Jacuzzi tub (with a European-style hand-held shower head, not one mounted on the wall), bathroom sundries and separate WC.
It also has a big screen TV (with cable) and DVD player in the main room and a second little TV/VHR/Cable in the bedroom, as well as WiFi.
There is no kitchen, but there is a mini-fridge, washer/dryer, microwave, coffee machine, coffee & tea, popcorn, condiments, serving supplies, and a private patio.
It is one beautiful floor, approximately 650 square feet, with an entrance off its own patio (with two tables). There's no lucious landscaping or pool, just a restful and private enclave.
I do my best to juggle the check-in and check-out time needs of the Guests, looking for a compromise between them to allow enough time for a thorough cleaning.
It's a half-block off Bridgeway (Sausalito's main drag), five stoplights to Highway 101 (five minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge and less than an hour from the wine country) with a bus stop at the corner and off-street parking. A private driveway leads to your front door (if you don't have a low-slung car like I do). It's within walking distance of the Post Office, Grocery, Banks and Restaurants. Just minutes from SF by car or ferry, it's a great getaway.
Feel free to ask any questions.
There is a Golden Gate Transit bus stop on the corner (1/2 block) and the Ferry to San Francisco is one mile south.
Nice place with close location to downtown Sausalito. Joseph was a great host.
Joseph is an excellent host. And his place is nothing short of what you see in the pictures. I only regret not being able to stay longer. Definitely recommend!
We had a great time ! Joseph is very friendly and a wonderful host ! The place is lovely, calm and safe. Thanks a lot for everything Joseph !
Highly recommend !
Great accommodation. Loved being able to walk to town and the grocery. Joseph did everything to make us comfortable. It is like staying at a luxury hotel!
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Joseph was a great host who had thought about all the little details. From toiletries to snacks he left us feeling very welcome. Would absolutely recommend staying here. Sausalito and the accommodation were beautiful and relaxing,
Very nice studio in great location and well stuffed with snacks, toiletries, etc!
This is a great place, just as it is in the pictures and better. For anyone planning to stay in San Francisco, it's a perfect location, in a side street just off the main street, easy access to the highway (101, 5 minutes to the Golden Gate Bridge). Joseph is a great host, accurate and and good communications; check in was easy and found all as expected. Definitely recommended and I would stay again next visit to San Francisco.
Another wonderful stay at this lovely space. Joseph is incredibly attentive & always only a phone call away. I look forward to returning again in the fall :) thank you, Joseph. Antonia
