About the Host, Rae
my love of cultural diversity is reflected in the eclectic anthropology style of 'casa del amor'. my first trip abroad was at the age of two when my mom and i traveled to japan and lived in small village for 3 months. sure i don't remember much but i know that this experience was a formative imprint as i have continued to travel and live in foreign places throughout my life. 3 years ago, after living abroad for 7 years, my partner and i decided it was time to create a base in ojai, my childhood home. in all my travels, i have found nowhere else like it. the way the grandmother mountains wrap around the valley in a protective hold. it has been said that ojai meant 'the nest' among indigenous native americans. this probably explains why so many people feel that they have arrived home when they discover ojai.
it is a joy and honor to be able to offer 'casa del amor' as a place for people to land, rejuvenate, transition, enjoy and simply BE ~*~
