The studio is located on the first floor of an ancient 17th century building, where we keep all the charm of the era with its stairs and handrail original timber. It has 35m2, king size double bed and a sofa bed, wardrobes, chairs and lamps are part of the decoration. The double-glazed windows, which overlook the street, the studio offers total silence. The studio also is equipped with WIFI high speed internet and cable TV channels, a full kitchen with microwave oven, traditional oven, modern induction plates, refrigerator freezer, coffee maker nexpresso, kettle, dishwashing machine, cooking utensils general and washing machine. The huge bathroom with shower, comfortable and strong and separate toilet as mandated by the French tradition. This comfortable studio is perfect for people with good taste who want to enjoy the typical Paris and be part of this rich culture. area Situated in the historic Marais district, 5 minutes walking from one of the oldest squares in Paris, the Place des Vosges where to shop and go to the cafes around is a luxury for the few! This typical Parisian region offers all the trade, the best boutiques and restaurants plus easy access to transportation (metro 3 minutes) and numerous sights on foot: Ile Saint Louis and Notre Dame 5 minutes, the Bastille and Pompidou Museum 10 minutes, the Louvre and Saint Germain des Prés to 15 minutes, plus many other options and museum exhibitions in the neighborhood.
We loved this studio. It was very well kept, in a great neighborhood (walking distance from many attractions), close to the metro, etc. It is also close to the old Jewish quarter, where kosher food was available (bakery, takeout, restaurants). The kitchen is well equip with a stove, microwave, oven, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine, utensils, and everything was spotless.
Great location and apartment was well designed, except for the height of the cupboards where glassware and crockery kept, making it hard for short people like me!! The noise from rubbish trucks each morning, was lessened by closing windows completely. We were only given one set of keys making it difficult when we went our separate ways which was often the case. We had no choice of sheeting and had to request extra pillowcases for the 2 inserts. Our requests were taken care of but in summer I would suggest, flat sheets instead of a duvet cover and insert. These details are minor, but the most inconvenient thing during our stay was only having 1 x key
This was a fantastic studio in the Marais. Very clean and it llooked just like the photos. The bed was very comfortable, we had everything we needed. Vinicius met us promptly on time and even helped us book an early morning taxi for our departure.
We would definately stay here again. Surrounded by great restaurants and walking distance to many sites in Paris.
Clean tidy well fitted out.
Good support from the owners manager
There were a few minor maintenance problems that need to be fixed.
There are 20 stairs not 10.
Would I consider staying in this studio apartment again? Unequivocally yes. It is very well located with the easiest of access to public transport, museums, shops and restaurants.
It is though (in my optic) a little quirky: the lighting is poor and consequently the main area is, unnecessarily, far too dark (3 standing lamps of which 2 have absurdly a max rating of only 60 watts). There are only 18 steps up to the studio but care is needed:they are narrow and the staircase winding. The kitchen area (the whole place being a studio is completely open plan) is good though the utensils are in cupboards which are very high up and in consequence somewhat awkward to reach. Minor lacks (though having them to hand would have made useful ): no breadboard, no paper towels and no spare toilet tissue. Be aware of a a late night cafe right across the street which can be a trifle noisy late into the night.
The many plusses far outweigh the minor"lacks" (that word rather than "negatives" is used deliberately.) The studio could sleep 4; in my judgement the maximum for comfort would be for two people.
Contact with Vinicius was both friendly and professional. I mistakenly accepted the suggestion by Vinicius that I would be met at the studio an hour after the Eurostar arrival at Gare du Nord. Arrived in 30 minutes and had to wait on the street for a further 30 minutes to gain access.
Excellent location and excellent apartment. The place is stylish, clean and especially the view on the street gives a true Parisian feeling. For two persons the apartment is just perfect, three could be too much as it is quite small. The only critical point I can mention is that the door handles need some fixing, especially the one on the door to the toilet. The hosts are very friendly. I would certainly come again to this apartment in Le Marais.
This studio was in an excellent location. Central to shops, restaurants, the subway and more. It's nicely furnished and extremely quiet and cozy. We were three guests and I would recommend additional hooks to hang towels and more shelf space in the bathroom would have been nice, but overall we were very happy. There was an issue with a bathroom doorknob that kept falling off but it was address immediately by Eduardo, who by the way is a very personal guy.
Vinicius' place is terrific for a couple looking for a central, local stay in Paris. There were three of us, and the place is probably a little small for that. However it is well equipped, with a good bathroom, it was clean and we were warmly greeted by Eduardo who made sure we were really comfortable. It's great value for Le Marais, (email hidden) across the road. Being on the first floor you do get a bit of noise, but that's Paris for you I guess too! Just a walk to all the shops, great restaurants and Saint Paul Metro, it was quite the find. Would highly recommend staying in this apartment.
