The space

We rent out our lovely apartment in Østerbro - close to downtown, the beach, parks and the famous lakes of Copenhagen.

The apartment
Our apartment is 200 square meters and comprises 2 bedrooms, 2 living rooms en suite, a newly redone dining kitchen, 2 hallways, and a newly done bathroom with a nice Spa Shower. It is located on the ground floor with easy access to a large, lovely, enclosed courtyard with a playground. The apartment is part of an old, historic and protected apartment building where the Danish prime minister lived in before and during the second World War. It is thus a historic location and appears original and charming with a historical twist..

Facilities ...
Washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, wifi. If renting the apartment with children, you are very welcome to use alle our kids toys, cots, highchairs etc.

The neighborhood...
We live in Østerbro, which is a very popular area known as the old wealthy neighborhood in Copenhagen. The district is known for beautiful, old architecture with broad, beautiful shopping streets and fine squares with cafes, shops, clubs, theaters, gallerys etc.. 10 minutes from the apartment is the National Art Museum, and all the historical sites in the center (Parliament, the Round Tower, Rosenborg, Kongens Have) can be reached with just 10 minutes by bike or bus from the apartment.

The district is very green and surrounded by both parks and Copenhagen's famous lakes. One of Copenhagen's oldest parks, Fælledparken, is located just outside our door. The park has playgrounds, a skate park, football and concerts, carnivals, etc.. Østerbro also has a variety of delicious delicacies, restaurants and coffee bars.

The neighborhood is located close to the waterfront, and a newly established beach is just 5 minutes from our apartment. Østerbro is the northernmost district of Copenhagen, adjacent to Strandvejen, which is a classic road that follows the entire north coast. Along Strandvejen are beautiful mansions and views of Øresund (The sound between Denmark and Sweden) can be enjoyed along the way from Copenhagen to Elsinore. On this route there is also exclusive boutiques, wonderful restaurants and also possible to visit one of Copenhagen's oldest and beautiful fortifications, Charlottenlund Fort. Here people gather at all times of the year and eat dinner while the sun sets over the Sound. The train is just 5 minutes from our doorstep. From here it is possible to take a ride in just 25 minutes to visit Denmark's world-famous Museum of Modern Art - Louisiana. The museum is a must see in Denmark if you are interested in art.

About us ...
We are Mark (33 years) and Signe (32 years). We both have a Master in Political Science from Copenhagen University and currently work as civil servants and design entrepreneurs. We live in the apartment with our two children, Karl aged 8 years, and Esther aged 4 years. Both we and our children use the city a lot. We eat out, we run in the park, we go to playgrounds and swim at the beach. We often go to concerts and are passionate restaurant goers. So please let us know, if you need recommendations or the like.

You can easy go to the airport from our place - 10 minutes by Metro, and 10 minutes by train. We can help you whith the exact directions...

I cannot say enough about this place! Perfect for a family - our 2 year old started referring to it as "home" after a day. Location is amazing. Instead of just visiting Copenhagen my husband and I got to pretend we were stylish locals living in a gorgeous apartment and eating killer pastry every morning. Signe is a wonderful host and answered all our questions. We'd come back in a heartbeat.

A really lovely apartment - you feel really part of the community , near a lovely bakery and great local shops and restaurants. And only a short hop into the city centre. It's a great base to explore or just to relax and enjoy what feels like a really lovely City. It's also a famous street for the founding agreement for the Danish social welfare system set up in the 1930s!

A lovely apartment, very spacious, well equipped and comfortable that made us feel like we were part of a community rather than tourists. The location is a 5 minute short walk to the nearest bus stop and then 15 minutes to the city centre. The local area was very quiet, with a supermarket, wonderful bakery and coffee shop just 2 minutes away. Our holiday in Copenhagen was made so much more enjoyable by staying in Signe’s home. We would love to visit again.

Staying in this apartment has been one of the highlights of our trip! It is so stylish (very Scandinavian) yet still very comfortable and cosy. Despite it being winter the apartment was nice and warm and the bathroom even had heated floors (making morning showers that much easier). The apartment block was beautiful as was the surrounding area - very quiet but with stores and restaurants 2 minutes away. A bus can take you into the centre of town in 15 minutes and comes very regularly. Signe and Mark were so lovely and were in constant communication with us. I'd highly recommend this apartment, you'll have the full Scandinavian experience in such a cool place.

We spent a week at this apartment. Having a grocery store and a handful of restaurants (dine in and take away) in walking distance was handy for when we preferred to stay close to home, and getting around the city using the bus stops close to the apartment was easy. All of this we did with our baby stroller. We loved the neighborhood in general. Bed was very comfortable, heated floor in the bathroom was amazing (as was the shower), and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a big Christmas dinner. We would absolutely stay here again.

Very large, comfortabel and nice appartment in a very central place in Copenhagen. We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed the place. It has two doublebed rooms and two childrenbedrooms, so it is great for families with children. We loved the dining table, as we were at the congress during the day, this was a great place to relax and have a talk with a lovely cup of tea. We loved the old accents of the appartment with the trendy new furniture and the fact you can walk circles if you want to (my colleague just loved that
