I stayed at Andrea's apartment for a week and it ticked all the boxes for me. Central to everything. 3 min walk to the metro. Clean good kitchen and bathroom, and working wifi. Spain can be a tough city to crack if you don't speak spanish but staying here is a positive step to making your stay an enjoyable one.
My stay in Madrid was wonderful. Andrea, my hostess, greeted me at the flat upon my arrival. She then showed me to my room (where there was a beautiful 'care package' containing fruit, pastries, and juice). The flat and location were perfect! If you are seeking an insider experience in Madrid you can do no better. The barrio is residential, with all the urban amenities nearby. During the month I stayed here I seldom even used the Metro, as the flat is so ideally situated in the heart of Madrid.
