If you're coming for SXSW, this is the perfect spot-close enough that it's an easy bike or bus ride to downtown and E. 6th St, but far enough away that you can get some peace and quiet and escape the madness for a little while!
If you're coming to town for F1, the airport and track are an easy drive or bus ride away!
This is a great tiny little house in up-and-coming East Austin! From here, it's easy to hop on the #6 bus or the included bike and get wherever you want to go, be it East 6th St, Manor Rd, anywhere on Austin's badass East Side, or downtown! Taco Mex is also right across the street to fulfill your wildest breakfast taco fantasies or aid in your hangover recovery.
The house is a cozy 1/1 with a massive front porch, wireless internet, a full kitchen, and central A/C. There's a small deck in the triangle backyard, and a fire pit for late-night hangs.
If you'd like to check out some amazing art installations, theater productions, shows, or just do some yoga in a great space, Space 12 ((website hidden)) is a five minute walk away, and Salvage Vanguard Theater ((website hidden)) is a five minute bike ride.
It's also super easy to get here from the airport (10-15 minute drive or 50 minute bus ride). This is the ideal SXSW spot!

Eddie was a very accommodating and receptive host. Checking in before, during and after my stay to make sure that everything was to my satisfaction.
A cab ride from downtown was less than $10 and the bus to and from the airport was only about four blocks away (and cost $1 - great if you don't have a lot of luggage).
The neighborhood was quiet except for a strange rooster-like calling early in the morning. The home has a real "unplugged" feeling with no microwave and a kettle you put on the stove. And if you want to spend an evening in, listening to music or reading a good book Eddie makes that an option too!
A great experience and one that I would be more than happy to repeat the next time I am in Austin.
Only stay here if you're okay with neighbors using the yard as a public trash bin and the place not being clean as advertised. The refrigerator, stove, and bathroom were filthy upon check-in, and the landlord was conveniently unavailable to confront. I do not cook, but the stove had huge food stains of food that had been baked into the surface. The refrigerator and freezer had stains inside and rotten food, some of which were unidentifiable. The restroom had large green stains on the tile surrounding the toilet, and the toilet had not been cleaned properly on the inside. There was a large brown stain on the restroom tile. On a positive note, the installed a washing machine per my request, but that was the only thing akin to cleanliness there. Moreover, he defended the next-door neighbors for throwing trash in the yard and at the house, citing it as "personal" issue despite the fact that I had not previously interacted with them!
Eddie was really easy to work with. Very close to downtown and met the east Austin feel. Stay here before gentrification takes over! Eddie even helped me out when I locked myself out and he was very responsive!
Very nice little home. Eddie was great guy and very easy to work with. Really helped us out. Thank you!
Eddie's place is a very solid, 1br house in East Austin. He was easy to communicate with and very generous. A friend and I stayed at this place during SXSW and he included his bikes in the rental, which was incredibly useful for navigating that festival. Great option for SXSW.
Eddie definitely made sure we were set for our stay. It's got a cute homey interior and was quiet. It's only a few miles from downtown Austin, so it made our weekend trip pretty easy. Would definitely stay here again.
this was an easy and relaxed experience!
