Visit our picturesque cottage in the White Mountains off the Coronado Trail which is rated 4.5 stars on Trip Advisor. Not only will you enjoy a slice of heaven two steps removed from “The Devil’s Highway” you will enjoy one of Arizona’s last true wilderness areas. Whether you’re looking to see a flying saucer, visit a new mountain town or you’re the outdoorsy type you’re in great hands.

The space
You will find ample space to sprawl and enjoy fresh mountain air, not to mention fresh mountain water. You can drink right from our tap; the water is fresh and delicious! Be sure to bring your outdoor toys, your hiking boots and get ready for star gazing. According to the Bortle Scale, this area has the best star gazing and astrophotography potential in the state. Depending on the time of year, you will probably see Elk grazing right on the other side of our fence. If you don’t happen to see Elk, you will hear them bugling!

The Amenities

This private retreat is fully equipped to be your home away from home. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the utensils you will need and want, including one of those fancy whirly popcorn makers and a Kuerig. For the coffee connoisseur you will find a French press and pour-over “thingy”. Enjoy your meals together as the kitchen has a large island with seating, a large kitchen table as well as patio seating.

After you enjoy a day of fishing, hiking or skiing decompress by the fireplace and tell spooky ghost stories, listen to an old record or play board games. But, if you run across the pinochle deck that was an accidental purchase, if you know how to play….teach me! Upstairs in the loft area, you will find a TV, 100+ DVD’s, Nintendo Wii, and Xbox 360. Both of the rooms downstairs have a TV; the room / office includes a VHS with old school movies like Terminator or Top Gun.

OK—so you’re probably mwondering, is there internet??? Yes, it’s a reliable WiFi connection and it’s fast enough to stream on multiple devices. There’s even a desk if you would like to work remotely. Here’s the bad news, depending on your carrier you may not have a cell signal. To make up for that, there’s both a yellow pages and a landline in the event you want to re-experience the way we used to do things in the 90’s… If not you can always “talk to the hand”!

In a nutshell you’re looking at a secluded 2.5 acre canyon property in the pines with one acre fenced. Our cabin is 1895 square feet with 4 bedrooms / 4 beds (3 queen / 1 King) with 8 bunk beds and a sleeper sofa upstairs in the entertainment room. We can accommodate 8-9
adults assuming shared beds + sleeper sofa and 8 smaller humans via twin sized bunk beds. That said, we don’t advise groups larger than 12 in the spirit of leg stretching. Besides, while there’s an ample supply of beds, blankets and pillows--- unfortunately, there’s only two bathrooms. We recommend you pour cold water on the person taking the longest shower!

It's a very pretty, picturesque and quiet community. And, the cabin is very peaceful and private. Most of the properties in this community are vacation homes, but there's a few full-time neighbors that are in proximity to the cabin. Out of respect for them, we ask that you keep noise to a reasonable degree. Moreover, all of the empty land you will see is privately owned. Out of respect for these land owners, we recommend you stick to the main roads and not hike off trail within the surrounding community.
