Martin was a great host! Always responded within minutes to anything asked and tried his best to be as helpful as possible. The apartment was in a very good condition and we were even provided with coffee, wine, and anything else you could need. Highly recommended.
Martin was super accomodating. Waited up till 5am to let us into the apartment since our flight was super delayed. Gave us all the necessary information for seeing the city quickly since we were tired and was a wealth of information without talking too much when I hadn't slept in 24 hours. The place was clean, had everything we needed, centrally located, comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower, and Martin even arranged taxis from the airport that arrived on time and knew where they were going. Excellent experience in a really fun city!
Terrific experience. This flat is literally less than 10 minutes from the main train station, but it's on a quiet street without a gritty right-by-the-train-station feeling. The unit itself has all the conveniences one could want, and the description is totally fair. Martin himself is a lovely guy, and he and I wound up having a long conversation about language and American television. It's clear that he cares a lot about being an ambassador for his city and making his guests feel welcome. You should stay here.
I never had met such a kind host EVER! Martin gave me the perfect information about Budapest and his room. supermarket, Opera house, Bath, Palace, Metro, restaurant, etc. With his information, I could easily enjoy the city. Thanks so much. And his room is very clean, nice, good heating. It's very very close to Budapest Keleti station.
Martin was a great host and his place was perfect for the three of us. He even put out a separate cot so we could all three have separate places to sleep...but the two beds were big enough to hold three of us. He welcomed us on time and gave use a run down of Budapest and all there is to see. His initial e-mail was also very helpful...he gave us a reliable taxi company that spoke english and picked us up from the airport (since there are a lot of fraudulent taxi's that overcharge...which he also warned us about in the email). He spoke great english and was able to help us make some general plans. He even offered us a bottle of Hungarian wine! Overall, a great relaxing experience!
Martin is GooD host, you can tell he is a nice person after conversation with him, and he is very patient to explain you everything you want to know about Budapest.
This flat has everything you need, the height of the ceiling make you feel it even more spacious !!!
Good place for short stay or even longer stay for few weeks. It is a in center of Budapest, but it is quiet. So you can go anywhere easily by bus/train/walk.
If I come to Budapest again in future, I will check out Martin's again :)
We had a lovely stay at Martin's apartment during our recent trip to Budapest. He was a very welcoming host, and greeted us with a nice bottle of wine, recommendations, and many maps of the city. The apartment is perfect for two people, and was equipped with everything we could possibly need (washing machine, hairdryer, coffee maker, etc). The location was excellent- just outside the center with good access to public transport (the red line metro) but also only a 15 minute walk from the downtown area. The main train station is also right around the corner, which is convenient if you are arriving or departing by train.
Martin helped get our stay in Budapest off to a great start - it was very easy to get in touch with him when we landed and also gave great suggestions for things to do and places to go in the city
Martin's apartment was lovely! It was the perfect size for three people (and would work well for four as well). Beds were really comfortable too. It's in a great location, an easy walk to restaurants, bars, grocery shops and even the metro and railway station. After staying at hostels for the past few weeks it was amazing to have our own bathroom and kitchen to use (not to mention Martin's place was just as affordable as most hostels in surrounding Budapest)! Also, Budapest is an amazing city and we had a great time exploring it. Hopefully we will get to visit again soon, and if so, we would definitely stay at Martin's place again!
