This is a modern condo with fun art and an efficient layout with all of the amenities to cook, watch TV, and just relax. It's on a quiet street with easy access to downtown, bars, restaurant, and parks. We are one block off of Restaurant Row on 17th.
The apartment is recently updated with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, fast Wifi, and comfortable modern furniture. You'll feel at home in this great quiet neighborhood located just 15 min. walk away from the center of downtown. Parking is included.
The bathroom is clean and modern with plenty of room of getting ready in.
The bedroom is loft style (seperare room but with trendy 3/4 walls) with a desk, full length mirrors, and a queen size bed.
The apartment is on a quiet street with a Starbucks and bagel shop less than 2 blocks away. There are over a dozen restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops within walking distance as well. One of the restaurants that is 3 blocks away was started by a chef of Food Network fame.
Public transit is nearby with a bus stop a block away and a B-cycle (bike rental) station 2 blocks away.
The place is unique in its quality and location for it's price. You are close to downtown and the convention center but tucked away in a great Denver neighborhood that will help you experience the real Denver.
The guests can access the key from a lockbox on the backgate of the condo building.
Interaction with Guests
I will meet guests in person or put the keys in a lockbox.
This is the Uptown neighborhood with 3 coffee shops and over a dozen restaurants within a 10 minute walk.
It's a quiet street but with easy walking to downtown Denver, the botanical gardens, the hospital, and City Park.
There is a public bus on the corner, a bike share station two blocks away, and readily available parking.
The guest must leave the place clean with dirty dishes in the dishwasher.
Great location and Craig was very responsive. I contacted him 30 minutes before arriving and he answered all my questions via e-mail instantaneously. Super clean place and we really enjoyed our stay! Thanks Craig
Everything was as expected. Craig was amenable and met us when we arrived. The place was cozy and in a nice area of town -- close to museums and breweries, as well as modern restaurants.
Our stay at Craig's place was great. awesome location and clean and habitable apartment. Plus you are stones throw from vine street tavern and voodoo donuts. We would absolutely stay with craig again !
This was my first airbnb experience and it was such a great one. My boyfriend and I stayed over New Years and everything was more than we had hoped; the apartment is so close to everything and we took super cheap Uber rides into the downtown area. Craig was accessible if needed and provided such an at home feel with his apartment, we would love to visit again!
OVERALL: Excellent experience! I stayed 6 nights at 85$/night from 12/21 - 12/27. What a deal! I have a bad habit of comparing Airbnb stays with hotel accommodations in my head, but I won't this time.
COMMUNICATION - Communication with Craig was little, simple and friendly. I could find my way easily without having to contact him. I love that. I didn't like the lockbox though. It's so difficult to deal with. I might just not be used to those things though.
PARKING - Free! Usually hotels charge $10+ per day. Craig makes sure you got yourself a spot !
LOCATION / NOISE / TRANSPORTATION - Short drive to downtown! Next to a hospital, so you'll hear sirens. It doesn't bother me much even though I am a light sleeper. Can't hear neighbors at all :D. Lots of walkable restaurants/coffee shops, but I prefer driving to get around to get to the downtown activities. Parking SUCKS downtown so beware!
GENERAL - This apartment is like 450 sq ft but the furnishing layout of the apartment fits perfectly. The modern furniture depicted in the photos are organized differently, but in general the photos are accurate in that it is a clean and tidy place. The place is also darker. Normal homey lighting. This is during the winter, so when it was dark outside, it was also gloomy inside. Remember this is someone's apartment you are staying at, so you'll find the refrigerator stocked with items with space for you to put your leftovers. There are plates/dishes/silverware that are available to you. Some dust on bed frame/window sills, but not a big deal. I'm only noting the dust because my nose is very sensitive. Along with the dry and cold weather, my nose bothered me several times while in the apartment. Just a thought if you are also very sensitive. Hallway leading towards apartment is NOTHING like the apartment, so it's really misleading. It kind of sucks, but who cares. It's not like you're sleeping in the hallway.
BATHROOM - Standard size for a loft. Most importantly, it is VERY clean! He provides shampoo, conditioner, bar soap and towels.
LIVING ROOM - Comfortable and clean. I really like the solo chair with it's own leg rest. The couch is pretty standard IKEA quality comfort.
BEDROOM - Center of the bed is slightly sunk in. My back is a little sensitive to the shape of the bed and I'd prefer a firm and level mattress, but that's just me being picky and honest. Comforter is made of down feathers so it's really warm. The sheets are clean and warm as well.
WiFi - My boyfriend and I like to surf the net on my phone before I go to sleep, and the WiFi got testy at times. My boyfriend switched to LTE in the middle of the week.
Anyways, that's all!
We enjoyed Craigs condo for 2 days and it served it's purpose as a good value spot to explore Denver. The kitchen set up was awesome to save us a few bucks on dinners. The unit it's self was easily accessible, clean, and modern. I would recommend!
Perfect location for our family visit in Uptown neighborhood. We could walk everywhere! The loft/condo was perfect for our 3-day stay. Fully outfitted kitchen, although we didn't use it at all. Friendly host greeted us and then left us to enjoy the space on our own.
I'm a young professional the moved to Denver for the amazing lifestyle and to start my a coworking company. I love the Uptown and City Park West neighborhoods with coffee shops, neighborhood pubs, and a B-cycle station nearby. On the weekends I often do the normal Denver things and head out to the mountains for a quick camping trip or play kickball with friends on Sunday afternoon.
