The space
Welcome to Rocking M Ranch Events and Lodging- the ultimate rustic indoor/outdoor venue located on 15 acres. Plan your perfect getaway with family and friends at this private, country retreat, with all the amenities you'll need!!

The lodge is a duplex-style structure with 2 full living spaces under one roof and separated by a spacious utility room with a 1/2 bath. The space is perfect for a large group with two kitchens, two great rooms, separate entries and porches. The larger living space has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and the second living space has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, with a total of 14 beds (4 queen, 1 double, 8 twin, 1 queen sleeper with inflatable mattress).

Each living space has its own entrance, porch, fully stocked kitchen, great room with wood-burning fireplace, and screened porch.

NOTE: Only one party is booked in the entire lodge! We will never double-book rentals, so, if you stay with us, the entire place is yours alone for the duration of your stay.

Kick back with family or friends and enjoy two nights or more at this secluded, country paradise. Relax by the pool or fire up the BBQ smoker and get your cornhole game face on for some outdoor fun! The large, two-story ranch-plex is perfect for large groups.

Step outside the lodge to a spacious backyard and a little slice of heaven, complete with a canvas of stars at night and party lights over the pool and throughout the 1/4 acre venue. Surround yourself with nature and enjoy the sound of a trickling waterfall, in-ground pool, hot tub, fire pit, propane grill, picnic area, custom BBQ smoker, and pond.

While here, visit Round Top's world of antiquing, nearby wineries, or Formula One racing at the Circuit of the Americas (bypassing Austin traffic). Visit historic Smithville and Bastrop just down the road for shopping, movies, bowling, and restaurants. If hiking's your thing, take on the bike or walking trails along the Colorado River in nearby Buescher or Bastrop state parks. Known as the "megalopolis", Smithville is an easy drive from the major cities of Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and College Station.

The rental is ideal for a Round Top antiquing adventure (plenty of space to park large trucks or trailers), and family reunions. Smithville is the first film-friendly city in Texas, and home of the HOPE FLOATS film starring Sandra Bullock. While visiting Smithville, who knows who you will run into with film and music stars such as Shirley McLain, Jack Black, Elizabeth Olsen, and Ryan Bingham (who stayed at Rocking M Ranch while filming 'A Country Called Home').
Take your boots off, pull up a rocker, and enjoy country life at its best.

Only one group, and maximum of up to 15 guests, are booked on-site for the full lodge. The duplex-style lodge is essentially two full living spaces under one roof. Each living space has it's own front entry, back screened porch, and wood-burning fireplace. The spaces open into a common utility room with an ADA 1/2 bath. There are also two ADA parking spaces in front of the garage, and the back door to the lodge is wheelchair-accessible.

Other things to note
Property is on a public water system and a commercial filtration system, eliminating the need for bottled water. For security, outdoor cameras are located throughout the venue. There are no cameras or video equipment located inside the lodge.

The Rocking M Ranch is located on a paved county road. Property is located 5 miles south of the City of Smithville. Smithville has a Brookshire Brothers grocery, gas stations, restaurants, and shopping. The City of Bastrop has a super HEB and is located approximately 20 minutes west from the ranch on Hwy. 71.
