With the Devil's Tooth as a backdrop, and no light pollution, this is a unique accommodation to experience the midnight sun, the northern lights, the ocean waves and everything else nature on the outer side of Senja has to offer. The new heated 16 sqm conservatory is perfect for these experiences.
We can, if necessary, offer transport to and from Tromsø/Finnsnes/Lysnes. Get in touch for details.

The space
There is electricity (upgraded June 2022), water w/shower and incineration toilet.
The cabin is about 54 sqm and cozy decorated. There is a somewhat special layout, where the entrance to rooms faces out to the conservatory, including the toilet. It is a relatively large bedroom with a good continental double bed and closet. The living room contains both kitchen, double sofa bed and dining table, TV with Chromecast as well as a wood stove.
Tungeneset and the cabin are "in the middle of the bullseye" to experience the best parts of Senja as well. The time it takes to other destinations by car:
Segla 30 min.
Breitinden 20 min.
Ånderdalen 1 hour
Shop (open 24 hours) and restaurant: 6-7 min.
Ersfjordstranda 3 min.
Bøvær 15 mins.

Free parking in separate exit along the main road, about 15 meters from the cabin. There is space for two cars or a larger car (van el.likn.)
It will also be possible to charge an electric car at the cabin (2 kWh) for NOK 75 per day starting in the summer of 2026. NB! Only type 2 chargers.
If desired, you can take a fast boat from Tromsø to Finnsnes and be picked up by us in the afternoon (5:35 pm). On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, you can take a fast boat to Lysnes and be picked up there.
Return will be in the morning with a ride to Finnsnes and Hurtigruten back to Tromsø. Departure 11:30 with arrival at 14:15. This will be a great voyage for NOK 338,- per person.
Price for pick-up and drop-off: NOK 2,500, assuming 1–4 people and not too much luggage.
Pick up in Tromsø is also possible, by appointment.
It will be possible to stop and shop for groceries before we drive out to the cabin.
During your stay it will also be possible to get a guided drive around Senja. Price for this will depend on time usage and mileage. From NOK 2,000,-.

After booking, you will have access to our recommendations for hiking, sightseeing and food experiences that you will find on the outskirts of Senja. Due to very little light pollution, the cabin is very well suited for northern lights observation; this of course when cloud conditions allow it. The winter garden faces north and will be perfect both for the northern lights and for experiencing the sea in all weather conditions.
The incineration toilet is a modern solution where no water is used. Here, insert paper is used and everything is converted into ash in an electric combustion chamber.

The cabin is close to the road, without there being no noise or visibility. It is about 70 m to the sea and the nature around is wild. Behind the cabin (across the road) is the raw and steep mountain wall Tungebroken. Out the cabin you have a view over the mountains Husfjellet and Trælen one way, and the mountain tram Djevelens Tanngard the other way.
Worth noting: Located about 250 m from the rest area/million-toilet at Tungeneset, without this being felt as embarrassing.
