  • Granada was the last stop on our trip and La Casa Bombo was the perfect choice. The place is beautiful, well-located and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We chose to have the dinner made by Mateo on both nights that we stayed and it was a lot better than some of the food we've eaten in the restaurants. Highly recommended!

  • Stayed at Casa Bombo and it was the highlight of my Andalusia trip. Andrea, Pascual and the rest of the team were very helpful and warm. Great company all throughout. A good place to meet fellow travellers over wine and home cooked meals. The tower room with private terrace is charming with the amazing view of the Alhambra. Really enjoyed my stay!

  • Staying at Casa Bombo was a lot of fun. Albayzin, where it's located, was my favourite area of Granada. The house has an amazing view of the Alhambra, the atmosphere was always friendly and we got the chance to talk with other travellers. The pool was the perfect place to have a quick dip to cool off on a hot day.

  • ABSOLUTELY AMAZING experience: we loved the wonderful view on the Alhambra (especially at night), and the cute private terrace, for romantic breakfasts or drinks.
The hosts are super friendly and helpful. They can give you nice tips about nice tapas places and restaurants!
Although it's a youth hostel, you can get enough privacy in the room and separate terrace. And if you feel like meeting other travellers, you can join the friendly (and delicious) diners in the kitchen!
    We definitely recommend it!

  • The view alone is worth 5 stars! Having a private terrace was wonderful as we were able to sit and enjoy looking out over the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada in the distance - we also had our breakfast up there which was lovely. The hosts were all helpful and friendly, their English was great although I practiced my Spanish with them and they were patient with that too. The communal areas were clean and provided everything for our needs and the main terrace was vibrant and relaxing at the same time. The area was great too, lots of local bars and restaurants around to enjoy. The street is pedestrianised and you feel like you are in the depths of Granada. Thanks to the person below who left the helpful comment about parking at the Alhambra and walking to the hostel (it is about a 20 min walk). As we were only there for 24 hours this was fine for us - you may need to think of other options if you stay for longer - which we will definitely do next time as we certainly plan to return!!

  • Fantastic vieuw on the Alhambra from the nice terrace. The hostal is situated in a labyrinth of very small streets and stairways in the Albayzyn aeria.I knew it was very difficult to find the address and this place is inaccessible by car and evenmore difficult because of the works of the Metro in Granada. The circulation was impossible, lots of no through roads and one way roads.. Therefore, we parked our car in the parking places of the Alhambra and called from there the hostal on the 2 different numbers we had from the internet (at 8PM when arrived) in order to get the instructions to find our way by feet to the Casa Bombo. We called on the 2 correct numbers and let 2 messages (voice mail)+2 textos. After 1 hour without any answer, we decided to take a room in a hotel at the Alhambra because at 9PM in the darkness, it is impossible to find the address of Casa Bombo allthough it is only 15 minuts walking by feet from The Alhambra. The next day morning, we could find after having asked at least 4 times the way with a map received at the hotel (not very detailed no name of the street of Casa Bombo)) and after having asked to local people, Even local people did not know themselves very well the way. There is no taxi that can drive untill the adress because of these stairways and narrowstreets. Of course, our host were not happy because they lost 18 euros( price of beds in dormitory) neither were we happy because we had to spend a night at the Alhaxar hotel at 90 euros and we must have been happy because we found this room. We spend the 2 other nights at Casa Bombo in the "Romantic room" next to this very nice terrace with Magnificent vieuw on the Alhambra illuminated at night. That was the consolation. For the rest, the house was quiet, we shared the bathrooms and toilets that were cleaned everyday. Breakfast was nice and people friendly.mostly young and backpackers. The hostel is more adapted for them than for old pensionned persons like we are. I would not recommend the Romantic room for old people and even less to people with babys as the room is upstair and there is no barrier of protection at all; the room ends up on a open space and on the stairs: it seemed to us dangerous and not in respect of safety rules. Matteo who welcomed us was nice and gave us all the necessary informations to the most interesting things to do and to see.

  • Staying at Casa Bombo was a very unique experience. The private upstairs room was great with amazing views of La Allhambra and the rest of the house was pretty interesting with yes...more amazing views. The staff went out of their way to be welcoming, friendly and helpful and really cared about guests enjoying their stay. It was a combination of guesthouse & hostel with the best of both worlds. The location wasn't the easiest to find, but once found had an amazing walk through the old city to get to town & the Allhambra. I wouldn't change a thing! Thanks guys for your friendly hospitality & great creation Casa Bombo, in the paradise that is Granada.
