The space
Great location, you will be close to the center but away from the noise in a quiet and safe area. Just 5 min driving from the port and just 20 min from very famous National Park Los Haitises in Sabana de la Mar.

Short description about Tour: This trip takes around 4 hours and starts any time that suits you. We can pick you up at the hotel in Sabana de la Mar. The local Tour Guide that have many years of experiences and very good knowledge about the National Park will take you to the Los Haitises national park. First you take kayaks and going through the Red Mangroves forest until arrive to San Lorenzo Bay. Amazing thing that you can see is the Huge collection of limestones mountain island called Mogotes, on top of them more than 700 species of Plants and many wetlands birds flying around. Look to the water to spot Manatees, crustaceans, and dolphins.
Later visiting cave with pictographs from our indigenous communities 750 years ago.
The national park’s name comes from its original inhabitants, the Taino Indians. In their language, “Haitises” translates to highlands or Hills, a reference to the coastline’s steep geological formations with Limestones. Adventure deeper into the park to explore caves such as the Cueva de la Arena and Cueva de la Línea. Caves in the reserve were used as shelter by the Taino Indians and, later, by hiding pirates. Look for drawings by Indians that decorate some walls. After visiting Los Haitises National Park, we are going back to the hotel.

Where you’ll be

Sabana de la Mar, Hato Mayor Province, Dominican Republic

Los Haitises National Park is a vibrant humid forest, it is home to certain species that cannot be found anywhere else in the world, along with miles of untouched mangrove forests, secluded beaches, ancient caves and the Dominican Republic's most diverse collection of endemic flora and fauna. What was once a sacred, safe haven for the Dominican Republic's original inhabitants, the Taino Indians, is now a mysterious and awe-inspiring draw for those willing to leave the beaten track.

There are not many unspoiled places left on the planet. Humanity has changed the world so much that it’s hard to find anywhere that’s still untouched.
Pristine place on the Earth!
