One of four apartments in a newly renovated historic building located away from the revelry but close to the town square and beaches. Private terrace overlooking street, king bed with Tommy Bahama linens and dream kitchen with six burner stove.

The space

Quality and attention to detail and comfort is what we are proud of. Everything you might need is available in the kitchen, the king beds are of high quality as are the linens. The suites are full of thoughtful touches and pleasing decor with original fine art and folkart. There is plenty of space to relax and entertain. Comfortable places to read or dine or work on something. Each suite has a project/work room for messier things.

Guest access

Speedy wifi is available all over the property. There are numerous terraces and places to sit in the gardens

Interaction with guests

Our housekeeper Stephanie (who speaks English) is available from 10am until 2pm (except Sundays) and we and the gardeners are frequently around.

Other things to note

Credit card use is limited in town to the higher end stores and restaurants. $500 peso bills can be difficult for the smaller venders to give change for. There are several ATMS and currency exchanges. ATM charges vary widely.

This house is gorgeous, with lots of nice seating areas outside and just close enough to town for a walk but also far enough away from the bustling activity. Amazing decor, luxurious shower, and full kitchen. We'd stay again!

The casa is nice. Close to lots of stuff in central Sayulita. Communication was great with Max, and the house itself is well-stocked for cooking, living, etc. The only real downside to be aware of is that Sayulita is booming with tourism these days, so there's lots of construction happening, especially on the road that this house is on. Loud sounds of saws and other machines running from morning to early evening. That said, if you want to be close to the center of Sayulita, this is a great place to be. I personally moved up to Lo de Marcos and found it to be much quieter and more peaceful. But overall, I had a nice stay at Max's place.

Sorry you had to endure the last of the construction on the house across the street but they’re almost done. The whole town is being built up at a rapid rate and there are a few places where you can totally escape it. All the best. Max

Location is great. It's close enough to walk anywhere in 10 minutes but far enough away from the noise. Max was very responsive. We didn't end up cooking but it's a well stocked kitchen. It was a great place to stay and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here in the future.

Very clean and comfortable place to stay. Close enough to get to everything and far enough to get away from it. The road and construction are a bit noisy, but with the bedroom door closed its quiet enough for a good night's sleep. There's a nice kitchen (that we never used) and some handy beach amenities included.

Where to start?!?!? We loved absolutely everything about our entire experience staying at Villa Iguana Verde. From the first communications with Max, he was responsive, helpful and the quintessential host. The Property is breathtakingly beautiful, as every square inch is manicured and maintained at a very high level. The location for us was perfect - just a quick walk to the town center and all the action, but far enough away for serenity and privacy. Once inside our unit, we were very pleasantly surprised to find that there was a full kitchen and living room inside our private unit (for some reason, I had been under the impression these spaces were shared, but each unit has their own). Our suite was spacious, airy and equip with every creature comfort our hearts could desire! A chef's kitchen (they're not kidding here - it has EVERYTHING you need), a spacious living room area, a private and well sized bedroom with incredibly comfortable bed and linens, and HUGE terrace deck where we spent tons of time lounging and eating, and a great private bathroom with a large shower and great water pressure and temperature (nice and hot). Stephanie, the housekeeper, is an absolute doll. Very pleasant and willing to go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Overall, I would rate this place a 20 out of 10. Stay here. You can thank me later. ;-)

Gasp! It's going to be hard to live up to that review. 20 out of 10? Who's going to believe that? They're going to think I paid you. Anyway we're glad you liked it and we would love to see you again. Max, Janet and Stephanie

We are former long time B&B owners from Victoria, BC, Canada. Janet is an artist and designed most of the look and feel of the Villa as well as ensured you have everything you need. Max is handy with many things and runs the place on a day to day basis. Our housekeeper Stephanie makes sure things are nice and clean, your sheets are ironed and your dishes are done. She speaks English too.
