    Response from Marina:

I appreciate your feedback, Maxwell! Glad you enjoyed your stay =)

  • Marina is a great host. She is real chill, friendly, and grounded. The pad had positive energy. The cats were affectionate, and I didn’t see any insects. I always had free access through the dining area and kitchen, so I felt comfortable.

I had returned to the city and needed a temporary spot, and if the need were to arise again, I would reach out to Marina. The location is not bad; so, I would recommend the apartment to others, including those from other countries.

  • Apartments clean and comfortable, has a good location, close to subway station. Direct road to Times Square takes 40 min. Marina and Lena were very friendly. They can give an advice what to visit in New York and explain interesting facts about city, peoples and NY lives.

  • Marina was a great host, very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is safe and got everything you need from a walking distance. The apartment was okay, didn't like the fact that it was an air mattress. Recommended for short stay (2 - 4 days).

  • I stayed Marina and Lena's apartment for 2 weeks. I couldn't speak English very well, but Marina and Nina listened to my English and talked with me. One night, I drunk with Marina and Lena, it was very very fun time! We talked Japanese, Russian and Museum of Sex( ! ). I can't forget this time. The night is vest memory in NY.
Furthermore, Marina showed me a lot of her works of photo and pictures of Marina as a model. They are very very beautiful and interesting!!! I love them. And Lena lent me a her sweater. The sweater was very cool! Lena and Marina has a lot of cute and cool clothes and shoes and good eye for fashion! Thus the room is very sweet, clean and comfortable!! I very enjoyed stay this house. I had a great time thanks to Marina and Lena!!

En tout cas, thank you Marina, Lena and Billy for this good stay!

    See you soon.

  • We stayed with Marina and Nigel for one month and their place has both its pros and cons. They received us at short notice, which was great! They’re both nice and very friendly people. Nigel is a really cool guy with a great passion for music =) Marina is very open and even asked us to join her and her friends to go out with them, which was very nice of her. They were both helpful whenever we had questions and gave us good information about the neighborhood.

After we did our reservation we got a house manual that explained that one of the cats is trained to use the toilet. We wish that we could have found out about that earlier. We really love cats but everybody isn’t comfortable sharing a toilet seat with one. The other cat isn’t housebroken, we made that conclusion because we found cat shit a couple of times outside the litter box. That was very unfresh for us and we weren’t comfortable but Marina tried to deal with the cats as good as she could. The shower was also an issue for us because it felt dirty most of the times and we felt it could be cleaned more than it was.

Rest of the apartment is clean and you get what you see on the pictures. We got lots of space for our groceries in the kitchen and were free to use what we needed. The room is big and there’s lots of space for clothes and other stuff. There was a sofa bed and an air bed available, we chose the sofa. It maybe could have worked for a couple of days but both the decoration pillows and the sofa were really uncomfortable. We wouldn’t recommend anyone to sleep on that sofa bed for a month because there is a risk for back problems, at least we experienced that.. so keep that in mind! You can also hear the neighbors very well from the room, so its not that soundproof which was disturbing during nights, especially if you like to get up early in the mornings.

Dyker heights feels like a safe area and is very quiet. The apartment is far from the subway (20 minutes walk) but there is a bus stop just outside the apartment building so it works fine, most of the times. The subway takes about 45 minutes to get to Times Square, and after 12 am it takes over an hour to get back.

  • This was my first experience via Airbnb and was a bit scared because I'm extremely shy. But the hosts, Marina and his boyfriend Billy were very kind to me even if I bothered their love love Christmas and New Year and I can't speak English well so that helped me a lot. They took me some places and cooked me Russian dinner too! Marina was a stunning model who practiced Russian with me since I study Russian. Billy was a really talented musician and his attitude to clothes inspired me.
The room where I stayed was big, and was very comfortable. There was a heater in the room and I didn't feel coldness at all. I went there in the winter so there was Christmas lighting :)
Also, you can meet 2 funny adorable cats there. I liked how Tigra lay down and punched in the air and how Misa came to my room several times with curiosity( the door was open).
It takes about an hour to get to Manhattan or sightseeing places but it was not that bad because you will see some random performances on the train.
You don't wanna miss experiencing this!
